FightNome: Striking Coach

A real voice calls every strike, on the beat, while your phone stays in your pocket. FightNome is pad-work training for people who already know how to throw a punch and want somebody counting. No video to watch, no screen to follow. You put your headphones in, the coach starts calling, and you work. WHAT A ROUND SOUNDS LIKE The coach calls in the nomenclature you already use — pad numbers one to six for boxing, and kicks, elbows and knees by name with the lead or rear qualifier. Calls land on the beat, over music written for the session rather than a playlist that ignores you. Between rounds the bed drops to rest and picks you back up on the bell. BUILD THE ROUND, OR LET US Answer a handful of questions when you start and FightNome writes you four workouts, shaped to your discipline, your level and your stance. Change anything you like afterwards, or build from nothing. Every workout is rounds of two kinds: • Striking — a scripted combo the coach calls in order, or reaction, where the call comes when you are not expecting it • Conditioning — circuits from a catalogue of nineteen exercises, or one you name yourself Set rounds and rest per section, drag the tempo anywhere from 74 to 128, and hear it before you commit: every combo previews with the metronome and the music, at the exact tempo it will run. TRAIN WITH YOUR HANDS UP The session runs from your headphones. Play, pause and skip a round from the remote without touching anything. The lock screen shows what round you are in and how long is left. Nothing asks you to look at it. WHAT YOU BUILT A streak that counts consecutive days. A rank from Rookie to Legend, earned in time on the pads. Your week, month and year as a chart, total strikes called, rounds finished, and every session you have ever trained. Everything stays on your device and syncs privately through your own iCloud. There are no accounts, no login and no server of ours.
