About

A sunlit toy room. Pale wooden shelving, jars of loose pieces, pastel blocks nobody put away. In the middle of it, on a mint and cream turntable, stands your collectible, waiting for you to decide what it looks like today. Start with the face This is the drawer people lose time in. Dozens of expressions, almost none of them neutral. Gritted teeth. A flat, unimpressed stare. Watery eyes on the verge of crying. A scrunched grin with every tooth showing. Hearts instead of pupils. Pick one and the whole toy changes character before you have chosen anything else. A furious little face on a soft pastel body is funnier than it has any right to be, and it is where most sessions start. The boards in between Away from the stand, there are boards to untangle. Each one is a knot of coloured arrows laid out as looping paths, red doubling back on itself, green cutting across the middle, cyan sliding underneath, every one of them already pointing at where it wants to end up. The work is deciding the order. Send one off while something is still sitting in its way and the two of them tangle instead. Trace a path backwards, find the arrow that has to leave first, and a corner you had written off opens up in three quick moves. Three hearts a level leaves room to be wrong twice and still finish, and three helpers wait underneath: a hint, a hammer and a wand, each with its own small count. They are pleasant enough on their own. They are also how the drawers fill up, which is the reason you finish them. Back at the stand Body colour comes next: smooth vinyl reds, deep purple, sky blue, teal, lime, several yellows, and quieter skin tones if you want something closer to human. After that, the outfit and whatever goes on its head. Headwear runs from a plain ball cap through a striped stovepipe, antlers, headphones, and a thing that is unmistakably a plunger. Full builds arrive complete: a jester in green and gold under a belled crown, a bee with antennae, a penguin, an astronaut, a horned viking in silver, a purple bunny-eared ninja, a hazmat suit with three red eyes. Four drawers, mixed freely. Nothing has to go together, and the best results come from the ones that do not. Try it before you decide Every locked piece has a small eye in its corner. Tap it and the piece lands straight on your collectible so you can look properly, with nothing spent and nothing committed. Half the enjoyment is in that browsing, putting the jester crown on the penguin just to see, then saving whichever version made you laugh. Dressing it badly on purpose is a legitimate way to play. Your room, your light The room has two states and you flip between them whenever you like. Daylight is bright and warm with sun across the shelves. The other is dim and low-lit, everything soft at the edges, which is the one you will want at midnight when the rest of the phone is too bright. How it leaves you There is something steadying about a small toy standing on a turntable, waiting, with nothing urgent about it. You untangle a board, you earn a hat, you go back and try it on, you change your mind, you change the face too. Most sessions end with your collectible looking slightly more ridiculous than it did before, which is its own kind of accomplishment. It stays quiet throughout. Nothing shouts, nothing spikes. Most people put the phone down calmer than they picked it up, and come back the next evening mainly to see what the plunger looks like on the viking. One hand, portrait, taps only. It works with the sound off, and a session fits a queue or the last ten minutes before sleep.
