Works just as you’d expect
No ads, works as you’d expect. My only feedback is some better way to make and quickly start playing large playlists, and or make sub-folders not prevent the entire selection from being added to queue when selected. 5 stars.

To start, I would consider this a paid app, but the price is affordable if you use it.
I’ve been using the payed version for a year and a half
With ads gone it’s a good experience! Very consistent and reliable. It can’t download files from everywhere but you can import your own if downloads don’t work. It also reads metadata very well and arranging files within fileplay is just as intuitive as managing files in the files app.
There are a few quirks I think are worth noting though
1. 👎 Strait up, the downloader can be a pain, particularly with YouTube, it will ask if you want to download any video that starts playing. And since YouTube loads previews the app goes crazy and asks with EVERY VIDEO THAT SHOWS ON SCREEN. I’d recommend you get a url from YouTube or a browser and download with that. (Also carful to read the prompt and not download the ad, only ever had that once, but it worked 😂)
2. Ad free version does not stop ads from respective websites, browsing YouTube will still give you the adpocalypse and so on
3. There is no download audio option. The files can be big, I’ve taken to saving space in my phone by downloading externally and converting to audio before importing
4. Listening to music or podcasts with AirPods can be interesting as using pause on the AirPods will correctly pause fileplay, but pressing play is 50/50 if it starts again, or starts playing iTunes instead. It just doesn’t understand the binary pause play commands from Bluetooth devices
5. It doesn’t let you choose to skip forward/backwards or advance 30 seconds, it just figures it out on its own, and it doesn’t do a good job, so it can be almost impossible to listen to something over again during a podcast if the only option is to restart

Malware BEWARE!!!
When I first opened this app, it showed a list of songs on my device. On first attempt to play a song, the entire app changed into a browser app. Very fishy!

How do we play more than one song at a time?
The title says it all. I want to like this, but I can’t recommend it if I can only play one song at a time. I will return and change this review if I can be satisfied.

Something is terribly wrong
I just got this. It worked fine for a few minutes. And after a bit it started eating up all my storage space. Overheating my phone.
It only seemed to resolve after I deleted the app. I HEAVILY don’t recommend touching this app.

Shuffle And Play Foward And Play Backwards
What’s the point of the app if these features is not working fix this up i need to shuffle and play my music back and forth without having to go on searching what to play it gets annoying.
I can’t access my files
I love this app but I hate that I can’t access my “music” folder, it looks like it hidden in the “Fileplay” folder, idk why I can’t touch the songs that I downloaded please tell me how to fix this fatal flaw
Nearly perfect
Amazing way of listening to music, I mean, it’s completely free!! Who could say no to that? Unfortunately, it’s only really built for listening to a song on loop and manually changing it, as the only way to listen to multiple songs is by manually adding to queue, very tedious. Other than that, this is an amazing free alternative way to listen to music! Highly recommend. If the queue thing was fixed, I’d definitely have this a perfect five star review.
