Not Bad, but Not Very Good, Either
I almost didn’t finish playing this game because it was boring me so much, but it gets good near the end of chapter 3. The grind of “meet a new companion, do an episode, then learn that companion’s job,” got really repetitive. Even if you’re a Final Fantasy fan, I’d say you don’t need to play this one. As others have stated, it just combines plot elements of the classic pixel Final Fantasy games, so there’s not much new here.

The game is designed badly from the story to the pricing of the game.
It is predatory pricing. A lot of SquareEnix games have fixed upfront cost pricing, which is transparent. But this game charges per chapter and was probably intentionally designed that way to trick some people.
Sad to see so many people who are so used to the current trend of predatory pricing, loot boxes, etc.. from AAA game studios that they actually defend this kind of pricing structure.

Somewhere in June 2015 is what I got this game as a deal in total it was five to $10 at the time for the whole game. always been a fan of Final Fantasy titles games.

I’m disappointed is so many people writing bad reviews complaining the game isn’t free. This has been one of the best games put out recently. I’m so sick of pay to play scam games. At least you can play the first chapter for free to see if you like it. This is one of my favorites with good replay value. I’d rather pay one price for a good game, with a good story, and great gameplay. I wish we had more like this. I hear final fantasy dimension 2 isnt as good. But I highly recommend this game. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Great addition to the Final Fantasy Saga
In a nutshell if you loved old school Final Fantasy games you will love this. Graphics are true to the originals, gameplay made a smooth transition to mobile and the music is renewed but reminiscent of the classics. Best of all you can try it for free in the prologue and grind away! I only have the prologue but will be downloading new chapters after I level up some.

I loved this game is amazing, but I fell it should update for can play it with controller should be perfect! Then update also achievement for give people will play to challenge it. Bring it at console switch, Xbox, ps5 :)
A Less Good Copy of Zelda
10 min playing... I think ff6 was better. Looks pretty much like Zelda: A Link to the Past, but that game was way better. What makes this game an improvement to the genre??

An incredible FF game!
This is one of the best 2D FF games ever developed, it's shocking that it's a mobile only game. It plays like a successor to Final Fantasy 5, with its excellently crafted job system and two separate parties to add even more depth to character builds.
The best part about this game is that it's the last thing somebody pictures when they think "mobile RPG", this is a title that just as easily could have been released on the GBA or SNES instead of cell phones, with none of the micro-transactions or years of grinding that have come to infest the genre. Overall it's a great title I would recommend to anybody who enjoys classic 2D Final Fantasy.

Returning after 2 years
I decided to play the game after a few years and I never had to buy the chapters before and now my save game is deleted and I have to pay for the chapters. I would not even recommend this game because you have to pay for the chapters to play the game.

Great game but do not install. First chapter is free then it cost money to play the rest of the game. A complete rip off.
