Do not buy this on IOS
There is an issue with this game where if you select an action in combat it automatically double/triple selects your action making it unplayable.
I worked with support and their solution was to uninstall and reinstall. This worked for about a minute before the issue returned. Support had no other solutions and said they couldn’t refund me.
I’m surprised there hasn’t been a class action lawsuit over this, as everyone who purchased this game on iPhone or iPad has not gotten what they paid for.

Buggy glitch
You have been warned, save before cosmo canyon and make a new saving cosmo canyon because your buggy may be glitched to the cliff. Locked in position you will sit and spin and unless you have that back up save, you bricked your game.
The Aerith house thing bug
I know this happen in the past but I cannot get pass Aeriths house at all I'm just stuck... Can y'all double check

The game itself is great, the port not so much.
On screen buttons are Xbox layout only, which makes zero sense as this game was originally released on the PlayStation, as was the hd remaster (ps4). So why would someone who originally played it on those systems with PlayStation controller, with PlayStation button layouts, enjoy playing this with Xbox controls??? How did Square Enix fail to grasp that developed muscle memory/ and or habits from using PlayStation controllers is hard to unlearn? I don’t know the difference between an Xbox “A” button and an Xbox “Y” button, let alone the rest of an Xbox controller layout! This isn’t a Microsoft exclusive game, so why isn’t there a PlayStation button layouts included in the options?

Best FF ever, BUT…
Been playing this since it first released on the ps. Loved it every time I’ve played thru, with one exception. The INTERMINABLE cut scenes, hours wasted wishing for a “skip scene” option that never shows up. If/when that happens it would be better than 5 stars. With the enormously frustrating waste of play time, it gets 3.
DEVS- can we get that fix put in?? You’re still updating, so how about a “skip scene” or fast forward option??

The iPhone version could use an update on its screen resolution though…
Do not buy!
The game ends when you have to bring back the girl with cpr. No matter how long you try it will not work! Don’t listen to bots talk about numbers either cause you don’t get any numbers it’s just a bar that you have to eye level it. I’m guessing in the ps version there were numbers but not this. You’re literally swinging in the dark on this.

THERE IS A BUG!!!!!!! It closed out the came TWICE almost $20 game for a bug!
Last update made the screen smaller?

Issues after bug fix
I was getting back into playing this game after a while, when I noticed that it started running noticeably slower, and a black box had appeared around the perimeter of the screen while zooming the screen out slightly. The box I don’t mind too much, but the lag is very noticeable and really hinders the game right now. While looking for ways to resolve this issue, I noticed a bug fix had been made two days ago, exactly when these issues began to occur. I’m almost positive that whatever was changed in the bug fixes is the cause for this lag, and I am hoping it gets resolved swiftly.

Very buggy in latest update
In the latest update, the screen is reduced in size and smaller than full screen, holding buttons no longer causes them to repeat (so if you want to quickly attack by holding down A, it doesn’t work), there is some noticeable slowness and stutter, and there seem to be quite a few instances of dropped inputs. It’s a great game but a bunch of issues were introduced.

One of the Best JRPGs Ever!
This is a great version of one of the best JRPGs ever made. The PS1 Final Fantasy games are worth the money and then some. Great story, characters, turn-based battles, and music. Lots of great features in this version. Battery doesn’t get hot. Can run in the background all day on my iPhone.
Surprised me
This game has controller support and it’s great playing it on the go. I love this game even after all these years
Controller issues
When paired with a controller the left analog stick moves cloud in a rectangular direction when trying to move in any direction. I have to use the dpad but its clunky. Better off playing the steam version or using a rom. Sad bug.

Wished I could play this game all the way through but there are to many bugs in this game to play on iPhone 15 pro max.

Lil Buggy
I played through the entire game with max stats. I noticed multiple bugs such as opening the menu at a screen change stops it from going to the next location, the sound double confirming one tap, randomly disappearing and needing to restart the game at gold saucer. However everything else about the game is perfect and runs like the OG. I ran into trouble trying to get the final attack materia at the battle square, but learned if you re-press max stats with all the requirements I was able to do the special battles at battle square. If this game got an update fixing these bugs it would be a 10/10

There’s an issue with auto selecting equipment, and auto casting spells in battle
Screen sensitivity
I have an IPhone 16. Overall, the game play works well. However, the screen sensitivity is maddening at times. This problem is almost entirely evident during battles, when characters take actions not intended by the player, like attacking when not intended, casting the the first magic spell, or using the first item at the top of your item inventory. The issue also prevents you from obtaining Vincent due to the sensitivity of the dial on the strong box in the mansion.
