Do not buy!
The game ends when you have to bring back the girl with cpr. No matter how long you try it will not work! Don’t listen to bots talk about numbers either cause you don’t get any numbers it’s just a bar that you have to eye level it. I’m guessing in the ps version there were numbers but not this. You’re literally swinging in the dark on this.

THERE IS A BUG!!!!!!! It closed out the came TWICE almost $20 game for a bug!
Last update made the screen smaller?
Seriously. It was already really small. Give us a zoom function.
Issues after bug fix
I was getting back into playing this game after a while, when I noticed that it started running noticeably slower, and a black box had appeared around the perimeter of the screen while zooming the screen out slightly. The box I don’t mind too much, but the lag is very noticeable and really hinders the game right now. While looking for ways to resolve this issue, I noticed a bug fix had been made two days ago, exactly when these issues began to occur. I’m almost positive that whatever was changed in the bug fixes is the cause for this lag, and I am hoping it gets resolved swiftly.

Very buggy in latest update
In the latest update, the screen is reduced in size and smaller than full screen, holding buttons no longer causes them to repeat (so if you want to quickly attack by holding down A, it doesn’t work), there is some noticeable slowness and stutter, and there seem to be quite a few instances of dropped inputs. It’s a great game but a bunch of issues were introduced.

One of the Best JRPGs Ever!
This is a great version of one of the best JRPGs ever made. The PS1 Final Fantasy games are worth the money and then some. Great story, characters, turn-based battles, and music. Lots of great features in this version. Battery doesn’t get hot. Can run in the background all day on my iPhone.
Surprised me
This game has controller support and it’s great playing it on the go. I love this game even after all these years
Controller issues
When paired with a controller the left analog stick moves cloud in a rectangular direction when trying to move in any direction. I have to use the dpad but its clunky. Better off playing the steam version or using a rom. Sad bug.
Nice game
Wished I could play this game all the way through but there are to many bugs in this game to play on iPhone 15 pro max.
Battle glitch
The game keeps glitching where the A button is auto selected during battle
Lil Buggy
I played through the entire game with max stats. I noticed multiple bugs such as opening the menu at a screen change stops it from going to the next location, the sound double confirming one tap, randomly disappearing and needing to restart the game at gold saucer. However everything else about the game is perfect and runs like the OG. I ran into trouble trying to get the final attack materia at the battle square, but learned if you re-press max stats with all the requirements I was able to do the special battles at battle square. If this game got an update fixing these bugs it would be a 10/10

Please fix
There’s an issue with auto selecting equipment, and auto casting spells in battle
Screen sensitivity
I have an IPhone 16. Overall, the game play works well. However, the screen sensitivity is maddening at times. This problem is almost entirely evident during battles, when characters take actions not intended by the player, like attacking when not intended, casting the the first magic spell, or using the first item at the top of your item inventory. The issue also prevents you from obtaining Vincent due to the sensitivity of the dial on the strong box in the mansion.

Schleichen geht doch
In einer anderen Rezension steht, Schleichen gehe nicht und das Spiel sei deshalb nicht spielbar. Das stimmt aber nicht:
Ab und zu schaltet sich die Steuerung auf digital um (Pfeiltasten-Steuerung). Man muss „D“ drücken (neben der „Zufallskämpfe aus“-Schaltfläche), um mit dem Analog-Pad genauer zu steuern. Wenn man dann „B“ gedrückt hält und das virtuelle Analog-Pad auf der linken Seite des Displays dabei gleichzeitig verwendet, geht Cloud langsam.
Ich hätte das Spiel wegen besagter Rezension beinahe nicht gekauft, war dann aber neugierig, ob wirklich so ein fataler Bug im Spiel ist und hätte es bestätigt, würde es stimmen. Aber es stimmt wie gesagt nicht.

Button problem destroyed the game
FF7 is one of my favorite games and I like playing it every couple of years. I was pumped that I could play it on my phone but it’s become utterly unplayable due to the controls automatically hitting a button 4 or 5 times in battle. So frustrating. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS GAME.

Can’t get passed Aeriths room! The control won’t let me slow walk!
Broken
The game is in a broken state and has been for at least a year. When you hit the ‘a’/‘x’ button, the game auto selects 3-4 times. You have no control over combat.
8 bucks…the good kind
This game is amazing on iOS. I only wish it was downloadable on my Apple TV 4K as well. I was hesitant to purchase it originally but I do not have a single regret. Love this version
