Difficult and time consuming access
I have asked FP and NP after subscribing how I may circumvent the time consuming sign-in every time I have a bit of time to read and continue to read and the articles papers. I look forward to advice and answers otherwise too cumbersume
Lacks search feature
No search feature in app. Can’t search for specific news articles by subject/topic, headline, journalist, etc. Makes reading FP via the app a frustrating experience and sometimes avoided because it’s not inviting for the user.

Signing in is always an adventure. I have no issues with other apps or other newspaper apps.
No Landscape mode on iPad
I want to read the FP on my iPad with a keyboard attached. When I’m reading my morning news all my other apps support landscape mode. The FP is sideways and so, unusable.

Like pulling teeth
I don’t know if it’s just me but since an update was made and changed the format, it’s super slow in loading stories. I have to pause at each section and wait. It’s like pulling teeth. Most times I read the top few stories and then switch the WSJ. Too bad.
Video adds
I’m looking for something to read, no sound, but as soon as I open the app there’s a video playing automatically and it freezes the app. Bad idea. It there is still a video, I don’t renew the subscription. Otherwise the content is good.

The post added Circus du Solie add and you can’t skip it it delete it even after it finishes so it makes trying the read the post impossible. I’m sure the post didn’t mean for their readers not to be able to access the news at all. Idiots
worst app ever
wanted to support the local and national journalists and subscribed for paid version and every time opening the app, waiting to see an unwanted full screen ad and most of the time the crashes to close and re-launched and see the same damn app. canceled subscription.
New app is awful
I’ve been a subscriber for three years and enjoyed it . But now it’s awful will not be subscribing to either national post or financial post in the future. They ruined a good thing .
$15 to read a few articles a day
Too expensive. Used to be free with ads so I would use it to read a couple articles a day. Now it’s $15/month so I’m deleting the app.
Not worth it
A few stories a day is all you’ll get here. Its lame.
Please add more smaller fonts size. Thumb hurts now.
Please take a look at FT, WSJ, NYT and Globe Apps. Take advantage of current screen resolutions.
Hidden articles, slow updating, old news.
I have tried so hard to keep this app, but I’m luck to see 2-3 articles of news from any given day on that day. You see articles from “Yesterday” all the way back to “4 weeks ago”. I get really sick of seeing the same headlines weeks on end, no way is the world THAT static... come on.
There is no search function, so you can’t find any article you may have seen on the National Post app (which btw one would think you could view on that app but you can’t).
Even during the massive sell off this past year, this app was not updating at all. Until they seriously look at improving the functionality of this app steer clear.

Loved both the NP and FP, but now it won’t work offline to read on flights
National Post and Financial Post Crashing
Since the last update both of these apps crash every time. Why do these problems still arise? I have no similar problems with BBC, CBC, G&M or NPR. Not impressed.
