Non-functional
Response from developer
Hi Code48, Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you couldn’t get past the registration step - that definitely isn’t the experience we want. The app is currently going through some maintenance and refinements as we continue improving and stabilizing the experience. Since this is a newly launched app, you may occasionally come across issues while we work through these early improvements. We do ask for a phone number as the login ID so we can verify accounts through a one-time code and help prevent fake or spam accounts. If you’re still having trouble registering, please reach out to us and let us know where you’re getting stuck. We’ll be happy to look into it and help. We really appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue improving the app. Please bear with us during these initial days while we work on making the experience more stable and reliable.
Phone Number?
Response from developer
Hi Hermes, Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback - and fair question. We get why asking for a phone number can feel off, especially with so many apps misusing that kind of data. Here's the honest reason we use it: we use your phone number purely as your login ID, the same way some apps use an email address. It lets you verify your account quickly through a one-time code instead of you having to remember another password, and it also helps us stop fake accounts and spam on the platform. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for marketing calls or texts. It's stored securely and only used for account verification, in line with our data protection policy - you're welcome to check the details here: https://findthatcricket.com/privacy. We appreciate you flagging it. If you have any other concerns, just reply here - happy to help.
