FAQ
How does Findu help me meet friends?
Findu displays you and your friends on a shared map, showing distances and estimated arrival times. This allows for a clearer understanding of everyone's proximity and helps in choosing the optimal time to depart for a meetup without constant location pings.
Can Findu track my location in the background?
Yes, Findu can share your location in the background if you grant 'Always location' permission and enable background sharing. This allows friends to see your progress even when the app is not actively open, though it may increase battery usage.
What privacy options does Findu offer?
Findu provides robust privacy controls, including a master switch, group visibility settings, per-friend permissions, and options for strangers to see your last known location. Your live location is only shared with mutual consent and configured permissions.
How does Findu manage battery consumption?
Findu offers adjustable location update intervals, allowing you to choose between faster updates that use more battery or longer intervals to conserve power. Extended GPS use, especially with background sharing, will naturally drain the battery faster.
Is Findu available on all devices?
Findu is currently supported on iPhone, iPad, and iPod devices. The app is designed to work across Apple's iOS ecosystem.
How often is Findu updated?
The latest version of Findu is 3.0.0, which was last updated on August 16, 2026. Updates typically bring new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements.
Does Findu have ads?
No, Findu does not contain advertisements. The core features of location sharing, friends, and the map are free to use.
What languages does Findu support?
Findu is currently available in Simplified Chinese and English. This allows users in these language communities to effectively use the app's features.
