i got this app last month and tried to open it. From there it shows the "published by: Pocket Monkey" then closes. And it hasn't worked. i removed it and put it back on and it still didn't work. i tried it again several times and still won't work

Update???

Worked fine till "update"

Crashes

This app was good until the new update. It crashes before you even get to start the game. ( ! ) All it says is "Pocket Monkey" then crashes. Please fix this. Pretty pretty please with sugar on top!!!!!!

Crashes on Loading

The game will not load on the iPad or on the iPhone 4 since the update. I did try resetting both devices and it still won't load.

Uncool noobs

The achievements make you lose. Like when the achievements pop up it makes it so you can't sling your ball and then they nock it out of the circle

Fun!

Pro: fun game! Very addictive.

Cons: Buggy and when I move the ball fast in circles it glitches out of the screen.

Over all, it's worth the price and since u bought it you should too! I beat the demo, fun game.

Great, simple fun!

Arcade puzzles, simple responsive controls.

Fantastic

Quite possibly the perfect game.

Funalicious

Love the arcade puzzle games! Keep 'em coming!

Finger Sling

There never seems to be a shortage of simple games appearing on the AppStore. Combining some sort of a board-game/castle-defense theme, the objective is simple. Controlling a ball on a sling with your finger, you are to protect your motherball from being pushed out of a circular boundary by enemies. If the motherball gets completely out of bounds, the game ends. After every ten levels you have a boss level where you must constantly smack at it while flicking away its ammunition. This is quite fun, but it should occur more frequently. Also, there are no lives that you earn or any continue option to speak of. This can be very frustrating as even making it to the first boss battle a challenge. After you successfully complete a level you use the points you got from smacking away enemies to upgrade things such as the speed and size of your ball, increased motherball boundary size and decreased motherball size. The harder you smack away enemy balls the more points you get. I would have liked to see some more upgrades or even some powers to shake the gameplay up, but as of now the game feels very stripped down. If you can get passed there being no lives and a difficulty curve, this game is much more addicting than some of its counterpart buddies. Consider checking it out. Overview: - Game gets hard too fast, no extra lives - Feels stripped down; needs more upgrades and powers. + Unique concept. + Slick controls. + Addicting “one more try” gameplay. 4 stars out of 5.

Awesome Concept - Simple yet Addictive

I am really enjoying this game. This is the type of game the ipod touch was truly made for. I love the physics. You are basically protecting a White ball in the middle of a white circle. If the brown balls collide and push it out of the circle, It's game over! You are controlling a ball with another ball connected to a string. In a way, I feel like it's a clean mideval weapon :) As you sling the ball you are touching, the other one follows while connected and hits the brown ball out of the ring. This makes it much more fun and challenging that just sliding a single ball around. This game is an absolute steal for 99c. To Top it all off, there are actually upgrades to this baby! Some things I would love to see in the future are unlockable 'arenas', 'Slingers', as well as enemies. (Sort of in the way its done in the awesome game 'Bumper Stars') I have a lot of respect for Pocket Monkey Games as a developer. The reason I got this game is that I love smaller, mini type games. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! GET IT WHILE IT'S CHEAP!!!

Simple and Fun, My Favorite

In a not so vast world of evil and good balls... Will you be able to succeed? To protect the almighty central orb by swinging and slinging through many levels and hardships and conquests? Upgrade your hero and do what you must to hold the central orb within its kingdom! Never lose the fight! And most importantly... Do not forget to get some more milk down at the store, we ran out yesterday. Excellent game. If you like simple and fun games, this is one for you.

Very Impressive

Simple learning curve, great physics engine, and smooth, enjoyable gameplay converge to form this outstanding title. Takes only moments to get the idea behind Finger Sling and just a moment more to realize that this is the type of game that you can really sink your teeth into. Well done! I'll be playing this one for a while.

Finger Sling- Peaceful, Polished Pick Up and Play

Although Finger Sling is not my favorite game from Pocket Monkey (Champion Archer is), this is definitely another solid on the go game from a great developer/publisher. I'm always looking for polished high score games (Canabalt, Scoops, etc.) since they usually fit well with the platform and Finger Sling is another to add to the collection. Although the game can get somewhat intense and maybe a little frustrating, its simple shapes and gameplay make playing Finger Sling a rather peaceful experience.

Although the game itself is pretty simple, Finger Sling does give you some extra content with Open Feint, such as Achievements and Online High Scores. Another trademark of Pocket Monkey Games is upgradeable equipment within the game. Finger Sling is no exception. At the end of each level you can buy upgrades, such as a faster ball, which make the game a little more strategic.

My biggest complaint for Finger Sling is the lack of a soundtrack. A little music in the background wouldn't hurt, especially since the sounds of the balls hitting each other can get repetitive.

For less than a dollar, I would say you're crazy to not at least consider this game. There's nothing similar to it that I know of on the App Store and it truly is entertaining. Pocket Monkey Games has been pumping out some spectacular pick up and play games and Finger Sling is yet another one of those to check out.

Ball smackin' fun

This game is awesome! I've never played a game like this before.

When one ball just doesn't quite cut it!

Well, here’s a few thoughts on Finger Sling then. The game is quite straight forward, meaning; learning curve zero, or close to it, the feel for your ball will come almost immediately and the fun of hitting, bouncing, showing… or just slinging your ball against your intruders can begin in earnest. Graphics is really, really nice. If it wasn’t for all the slinging going on, I would cal it almost serene, or Zen like in all it’s oriental flair. It’s really polished, high frame rate, no lagg despite the integration of OpenFeint, all in all really good job. The little sound there is, in the game, is of course the balls hitting each other. So I’m happy to inform, that they got the perfect ‘marble sound’ down to a tee! - There’s no option to listen to your own music, so… I hope you like marbles... It’s a small game... In essence it’s about how far you can get by upgrading your ball and the safe area you protect. Nothing more, nothing less. To me that’s just perfect for a little unwinding after work, or just setting my mind free on the train or similar. I really do like this one, I think they did it just right… As mentioned, OpenFeint deals with the online leaderboard and trophies and what not. And all the bells and whistles seem to be here, By now everyone should be quite familiar with OpenFeint so… In closing, what I do miss about the game, not considering that there are boss fight, and some minor upgrades you can perform, then the replayability might be a bit on the light side, If you, like me, like games that’ll sort’a occupy your hands while letting your mind trail off, then cool, good for you, and me! - But for those that might seek a more deep game that’ll keep them at it, mind and body. – I don’t think this one is for them… I’d give it a small 4 out of 5 – But this one, for me, is a keeper for sure! Of course, all this is subject to change when i start getting me arse kicked silly on the stupendously harder difficulties in the later part of the game...!!
