About
Fingerchase uses the score as your practice context, connecting notation, the 88-key keyboard, playback position, and practice history so every session is easier to start, break down, and continue.
Practice with the score
• Start playback or practice from any measure
• Loop difficult sections with A–B points
• Practice the left hand, right hand, or both hands
• Adjust tempo and progress at your own pace
• Keep a per-piece practice position and on-device practice history
• Use Free Practice and the metronome without choosing a score first
Bring your own scores
Import MusicXML, MXL, or MIDI and use personal scores in the same reading, playback, and practice workflow. Personal content stays on your device; there are no public score links, cloud sync, or score export.
Understand theory in context
Explore source-backed key signatures, scales, and scale-degree relationships alongside the music. When the score does not provide enough evidence, Fingerchase does not force a definite conclusion.
Community feedback forum
Browse public questions, suggestions, and discussions; search or filter topics; agree or disagree; leave comments; and follow public review, planning, development, and release progress from the developer. Every piece of feedback matters and directly helps us understand real needs and improve Fingerchase. Reading does not require an account. Posting and interacting require Sign in with Apple.
Experimental on-device features
Image/PDF score recognition, microphone score following, and solo-piano audio transcription remain experimental. Results can vary with score quality, piano tone, pedal use, polyphonic complexity, and background noise, and should be reviewed before use. Microphone score following does not grade technique, accuracy, or mastery.
Privacy, accounts, and network use
Personal scores, imported images/PDFs/audio, microphone audio, recognition results, and detailed practice data are not uploaded to our servers. Raw microphone audio is not saved as a recording.
Core practice does not require an account. The forum, referrals, subscriptions, and external links use network services only when you choose them. Posting topics, commenting, or interacting in the forum requires Sign in with Apple; never include personal or sensitive information in public content.
