About
Fingerophone is the easy way to play a classic pocket electronic instrument by sliding a finger across it, now on your iPhone and iPad, with no hardware to buy.
Slide across a compact hex keyboard and get an immediate electronic tone. It is a real monophonic touch synthesizer that makes its own analog-warm sound: two slightly detuned oscillators give it a vintage warmth, a resonant low-pass filter rounds off the digital edge, and the signature vibrato wobble sits right where you expect it.
Everything is a finger away while the note is still playing:
- Four waveforms (sine, triangle, saw, square), crossfaded as you switch
- Vibrato for the classic pocket-synth wobble
- Tone to darken or brighten the sound
- Drive to push it from clean into gritty
- Volume
A live oscilloscope draws the actual signal coming out of the synth, so the screen moves with the sound instead of running a canned animation. Scroll the keyboard across several octaves and play quick melodies, sustained drones, and noisy little riffs.
Plug in a MIDI keyboard and it plays the same voice; map its knobs to the controls with MIDI-learn. Everything runs on device, no account and no connection needed.
Whether you want a pocket synth to noodle with, an analog-warm sound toy, or just a finger-slide instrument to try without buying hardware, Fingerophone keeps it all on one focused screen.

The screen now stays awake while you play, so it won't lock during a live set.
