Simply the best
From the creators of the hit indie game Steamworld: Heist, comes Fingu, an aptly named game that has some stellar qualities.
Firstly, the design choices cannot be ignored - the flat aesthetics make you focus on gameplay, and do not distract you from your overall goal. Despite this, they still look attractive and do not deter the fan base in any way.
The gameplay is easy to pick up, meaning new players are able to join the community quickly. The story focuses around one of 30 optional characters, ranging from a cat to a starfish, as they go on their journey to do one thing and one thing only - count. As various fruits fly about the screen, one must place an equal amount of fingers on it. For example, if three pears are spotted flying in formation, three fingers have to be placed. This doesn't even have to be a finger - I've tested it with toes, knuckles, tongues, knees, chins - the possibilities are certainly endless.
The level system is well though out and provides hours of entertainment. Each level can be chosen from a level select screen. Within those levels are 20 stages that each have different numbers of fruit and types of fruit, but keep the exact same background and aesthetics to keep it simple.
Overall, I would give this game a 10/10 for its gameplay and graphical choices.
