Extremely disappointed
The pronunciation was very unclear and they wouldn’t let me replay it. The pictures weren’t clear and they don’t use English translations so I very rarely knew what I was saying. If you want to learn Finnish, don’t use this app.
Translation of the words?
A translation of the words in the lessons would be helpful. The pictures can be interpreted in quite a few different way so I find it a bit pointless learning to pronounce a word I don’t know the meaning of.
Hyvää
I really like it. It's sort of like Rosetta Stone. One thing that should be changed is in one picture it shows a picture of a yellow Mini Cooper and it says "Pieni vihreä auto": "small green car".
Great help
I love useing this app, the pics can be weird and confusing sometimes (girl with a flower in her mouth meaning to have???) but I find I'm learning these words fast. The extra thinking and not just memorizing words is a fun twist. Definite recommend!! Thought it is .99 for each set. Worth it!!
Where are the finnish vowels?
An excellent app but the main issue is the lack of Finnish vowels on the iPhone keypad. It is very difficult to complete the writing tasks without a full set of vowels!
Other than that it seems very useful. You can track your ability level and having the writing tasks gives it an extra element of difficulty.

Favorite Finnish app thus far
This is actually my favorite Finnish mini course thus far. Though the pictures are somewhat primitive, they use them to great effect to teach not only vocabulary, but also grammar (morphology and syntax) - the most challenging aspect of Finnish for a native English speaker.
Rather than to focus on topical vocabulary, the emphasis is on contextual comprehension, listening to nuanced variations of similar things and matching them to the appropriate image. The app provides 6 image options rather than the standard 3 or 4, meaning you'll actually have to learn the meaning of the phrase rather than to guess your way through.
The app provides both a male and a female reference voice for each item or speech sample. Listening to them both helps to understand the target speech approximation rather than merely how one speaker is likely to say something.
After the first 5 lessons alone I have a much clearer understanding of the logic behind the Finnish language. This is a great app - highly recommended!

Must purchase lessons twice for iPhone & iPad
I only use the iPad version of this app. It's pretty nice. It would probably require extra study. I would use this app as a supplement to learning. But it will help you quickly catch on to grammar and learn the language more "naturally," or how a child would.
My main complaint, however, is that purchasing the lessons on one device does not give you the lessons on your other device. I must purchase all lessons once on my iPad ($4) and then again on my iPhone ($3). This needs to be fixed. Until then, I refuse to purchase the lessons twice, and I stick solely to my iPad. If this were not an issue, I'd rate the app 4 stars.

Worked well for me
After learning some absolute basics, I found this method great, it's very cleverly constructed to help you remember not just phrases but also structure, etc. Only improvement I'd like to see is a function to show the translations; although the point is that they are not written with the pictures, there were a few I needed to use a translator for to understand the full meaning.

Great app but sometimes confusing
This app is the fastest method to learn new finnish words. With that being said, sometimes the images are unclear as to what the word means (i.e. is it the man, the action, etc). Also the app is not really free at all as to be usable you must pay the $3.00 extra to unlock the full program. Works well tho! Recommend

Bug in the written test
Great app. But when u try to do the written test the app keeps closing. Would be good if it was fixed.
