About
FinnTrack keeps your spending, your accounts and what is left of the month in one place. You write it down, FinnTrack does the arithmetic. It never connects to your bank, carries no advertising and does not track you.
PAY WITH YOUR PHONE, IT WRITES ITSELF DOWN
Pay with Apple Pay and the expense reaches FinnTrack on its own, with the merchant and the amount, and a notification the moment it happens: “Expense added”. Tap it to give it a category; leave it and it stays written down anyway. No bank connection: on iPhone, a Shortcuts automation tells FinnTrack about each payment. Nothing leaves the phone unencrypted.
YOUR MONTH, IN ONE FIGURE
Open it and you see what is left to reach the end of the month — already minus what you have spent and the regular bills still to come. One figure, and where it comes from.
THE THINGS THAT REPEAT, ENTERED ONCE
Rent, the gym, the insurance. Enter them once and they appear on their own every month. When the rent goes up you change the figure and it applies from the next payment: what you already paid keeps the amount you actually paid. If you want it, your phone reminds you the day before each one.
BALANCES THAT DO NOT DRIFT
You confirm an account's balance on the day you look at it, and from there FinnTrack applies every movement on top. No balance is ever stored and incremented, so correcting an expense from three months ago leaves no residue and knocks nothing out of line. Investment accounts carry two figures that are never added together: what the position cost, and what it is worth today.
LOANS, AS THEY ACTUALLY ARE
Money you lent and money you borrowed. The principal is neither an expense nor income, and signing a mortgage does not put 89,000 into your current account. If you want them, the instalments post themselves as one more regular expense, and the loan stays in charge of its own schedule.
A CAP FOR THE MONTH, IF YOU WANT ONE
Set a limit per category, or a savings goal, and see how you are doing.
ANALYSIS THAT ANSWERS BACK
Compare months and years, across two levels of category and across the merchants you spend most at. Above every chart, the sentence that says what you are looking at. Facts about your data, never advice about your money.
ONE ACCOUNT, TWO PEOPLE
The grocery account or the rent account can be kept by both of you. That one account is shared and nothing else: your profile, your spending and your analysis stay yours, and the other person sees nothing from before the day you started.
OFFLINE, WITHOUT WAITING
Adding, editing and deleting all work underground. It syncs when the signal comes back, and two phones that touched the same thing end up in the same place.
YOUR DATA IS YOURS
Download a full copy whenever you like and restore it just as easily. And if you are coming from another app, your bank’s CSV goes in whole. The copy is built on your device and goes wherever you send it — it is never uploaded to FinnTrack. Your figures are also end-to-end encrypted: neither the server nor we can read them. If you lose your access phrase and your recovery key, your data cannot be recovered. Not even by us.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
It does not connect to your bank. It carries no advertising. It carries no trackers and no advertising identifiers. It sells nothing you write down.
LITE TO WRITE DOWN, FULL TO GROW
Writing things down has no limit and never will: every expense, income and regular bill you want, with one account, the last three months of analysis, each month's summary and your backup, free forever with FinnTrack Lite. FinnTrack Full, one single in-app payment — no subscription — adds more accounts and investment ones, budgets, loans, trips, the full analysis history with per-merchant detail, and shared accounts. To support the project, FinnTrack Supporter adds a gold icon and a badge to Full.
On the phone, on the tablet and in the browser, with the same profile.

What's New in FinnTrack
1.2.2
October 18, 2026
Regular bills that change every month, like electricity or water, no longer need a figure: say which days the bill arrives and on the last one FinnTrack asks how much you paid. Widgets in three sizes add an expense or income from the home screen, and the app icon has shortcuts when you touch and hold it. In FinnTrack Lite, what Full brings is marked in gold, and the back button closes the offer.
