A little piece of heaven
We have just returned from a 12 night stay at Finolhu and all I can say is it’s just wonderful. The island is absolutely idyllic (sadly our weather wasn’t great but it didn’t stop up having a superb time). We went in the turtle and dolphin safari which was amazing. Bucket list tick seeing dolphins in the wild and we also were lucky enough to swim with turtles.
The food is absolutely exceptional. The Japanese was our personal favourite and we dined there numerous times. We had been to another island in The Maldives before which really jacked evening entertainment but Finolhu have something on every night wether it be the resident entertainers who performed fire shows, acrobatic shows and dance. They were unbelievable!
I visited the gym numerous times which is well kitted out and invariably quiet. I was the only person in there most mornings.
Sadly the first 2 days of the holiday I was poorly but Elina (Head of Guest Experiences) could not have done more to do everything she could to make me comfortable and kept checking in to see how I was and arranged special food etc to be delivered to the room along continuously offered me to the option to see the island doctor (which I knew I didn’t need as I would be fine in a couple of days) but she was so caring. She went above and beyond what I could have expected.
The White Party and Sunday Social are a lovely touch where they offer canapés, cocktails, mocktails and the chance to meet the management team (who are always milling around and on hand anyway should you wish to speak to any of them).
My husband and daughter enjoyed a massage at the spa and said it was fabulous.
ALL the staff are absolutely wonderful and know you by name (still no idea how they do this) but I’d like to extend a special thank you to the below people who really looked after us during our stay.

I could honestly go on and on. I have never been to a resort run by such lovely, approachable, friendly people. We miss it already. Hopefully on our next visit we will enjoy a bit more sun but we knew it was going to be rainy season (we had to go then for our daughters 21st given she’s at uni so her holidays dictated our time of visit).
If you are considering this resort I couldn’t recommend it enough. We will definitely be back (and we don’t often go to the same place twice). It’s a very, very special place filled with very, very special people.
