Disappointed
As a long time subscriber of Shotgun News, I find the current configuration unsatisfactory. It has become a magazine the carries the same stories as the other magazines in this group of publishers. Not the same and repetitive stories in other magazines. Doubt if I’ll continue subscribing after 25 years!

Great magazine but App is junk
Subscribe to magazine and hoped app would allow portability and easy access to back issues. Nothing works. App is junk. Avoid.
Great magazine
Firearm News covers a wide variety of weapons and has some great historical articles.
Can’t access content after paying
Downloaded the app and paid for subscription for the year. Could only see one issue. Then went to website and ordered firearms news and guns and gear. Followed instructions and can’t get access to all content from guns and gear and firearms news, both of which I paid.
Trash
Worst app on the store. Publisher makes you use this trash to view magazine that you paid for. Guess what it doesn’t work1
Great magazine, poor digital implementation.
I love the publication, have subscribed for years, but this app is pretty bad. You can’t download content, so can’t take it on the plane, pretty hard to read on a phone, probably much better on a tablet. Save your money when subscribing, get the print version. I sure hope it’s better on a tablet, but won’t be reading on my phone for sure.

Version 2.0 software upgrade is a case study in stupidity
Update wiped out all my downloaded issues (years worth). Seems like the upgrade was designed to benefit them instead of us. BTW, the same upgrade also screwed up the other magazines they publish.

I love the magazine but, the 2.0 app blows
Well with this update to 2.0 of the app I must say, this; Give me the previous version back. Everything is so so slow and painful. I am no5 happy with 2.0.

Beyond BAD
Almost nothing about the app works. Links within the app take you to other pages with entirely dead links. I still can't get access to any content and when you contact customer service about this or any account issue they respond with an email including a link to the Account Cancellation Webpage...no dialog or attempt to help correct the issue at all. I don't know what is going on at Shotgun News but it's not good.

Nice when it works right....
Worked fine when I first got my digital subscription -then it stopped, telling me I needed to buy the current available issue. After awhile it started working again, got several issues with no problems. Now I need to buy the current issue again. At least I have a print subscription.
Don't buy
I bought the digital and print issues. I received two digital issues. Now it's telling me I have buy the new ones. Over a month I have not received any print issues.
Also Dead with IOS 8.1
I have not been able to download the next issue without paying for it even though I was auto renewed just last month. Been trying to get answer and fix but the customer service/support is horrible. Stopped even replying to my request for update on a fix. This is in addition to not getting my mailed copy for almost a year even though that was included in my subscription. This a great magazine but it's useless if you can't get it. Bottom line, DON'T SUBSCRIBE. At least not until it is fixed for IOS 8.1.
