does it’s job, but barely
I’d like to start off by saying that the app isn’t COMPLETELY unusable, however, it really pushes it. Firstly, timetables constantly disappear and reappear. Secondly, tasks rarely seem to format properly and often end up being cut off and having tiny text. Thirdly, many features that are present on the website just simply don’t exist on the app. I could list more, but this review is getting long enough.

Terrible
Good riddance to this awful app and site
Firefly saved my life
When I started school as a young boy I was naive in nature and didn’t think that me skipping my maths homework would end my life.
But firefly was an eye opener it showed me the way even more so than my father. It showed me life was worth living because I gained the discipline needed to work at McDonald’s. It punished me by saying tasks overdue in red and made realise the true consequences of not doing my homework.
I now see the light it’s trying to help me become the best version of me, to continue on my fruitful path.
One complaint I do have is firefly is not strict enough because there is no physical punishment. I would really rate this 5 stars if they added some physical punishment.

Every time I look at my tasks I have to do by tomorrow I feel like throwing my phone out of the window

Work doesn’t go away for weeks
I have tried marking my task as done several times but it never works. I want to move away from the app because it is so pathetic. If an update doesn’t come out solving this issue, all people should delete this app and use Microsoft teams
It’s too slow
My homework doesn’t load all the time and then I miss deadlines and get a detention. It’s ok I guess apart from that but it can be really slow

So far I have had this app for half a hour it is still going through the endless loop of connecting to my school which is frankly ridiculous 🤦🙄😫 luckily I know i have nothing due tomorow by using the much faster online app this is torture and i haven’t even got into the actual app yet 😩😫😖😣

it always says i have 7 tasks and when i check my tasks it says i have none despite me knowing i do in fact have tasks. i’ve gotten multiple missed hw detention due to this and it’s really frustrating. on top of this it always takes ages to load and always glitches when i try to look at my hw. i always end up resorting to using my laptop to go on the website (that actually works) but it’s really inconvenient when i don’t have access to a laptop. it’s a waste of my phone storage.

Good website. Rubbish app.
Firefly in general is quite good. The app is awful. It takes a long time just to load a timetable (I sometimes have to switch the day I’m looking at and go back just to make it load), doesn’t show resources, takes a long time to load tasks and other information and, I have just had to reinstall on my iPad because the app reset itself every second or so. To reiterate, the website and service in general is great. The app should basically be re-written from scratch.

Just so bad if it was possible it would get zero stars, it should be removed from all schools. Inconsistent and only updates from time to time constantly leaving parents thinking their kids have not done their work. For kids, work that will not open or opens only part of the information leaving them frustrated and upset they cannot do their work. Someone pls ban this terrible business from making money for our kids!
