Scanner doesn’t work and even if it did the app is limited. Totally useless. I’d give it no stars if I could.
Works as intended but…
As MrDead63 wrote, you need to put the phone camera as close to the diode as possible, and fill the entire screen. The green circle is just misleading. Forget about it. A bit fiddly with my sensor being attached near the ceiling, but doable. Would be much better if the instructions were clearer.
FireHawk Data Scan
Never had a problem with the app not working from iPhone 7 right through to iPhone 26, just lay the camera lens on top of the led, if the bar doesn’t fill right up just press scan again works every time.
Doesn’t work
Got a monitor from a local charity as I didn’t have one. When scanning into the app, the app just crashes. Tried a few times so can’t use the app. They need to improve this as it’s an important piece of kit that should alert you if needed. Don’t offer an app if it is not working!!

Doesn’t scan, doesn’t do anything. Pointless. Should’ve bought the base model and saved an extra couple of quid!

Newly installed CO Alarm
Installed app and as per all other users just comes up with one screen asking to scan the alarm, then fails. Waste of time. Clearly after 3 years still not resolved the issues. Downloaded to an iPhone 15 pro.
Won’t connect to CO alarm

Fire brigade & gas safety board gave us 2 new FireHawk CO detectors after a carbon monoxide scare.
Was told we could use this app to check data on CO alarm but the app is absolutely pointless. Alarm is beeping but unable to scan the alarm to check what’s wrong as the app crashes every time. Don’t waste your time.

Probably a development project for internal use only. So buggy it doesn’t even work. Shame, it was a cool idea!

App does not work
Just bought a Firehawk carbon monoxide alarm which came with a leaflet for this app. Followed instructions but the app closes itself down. Tried to email them and the email does not get delivered. Deleting app as clearly it doesn’t work with iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Worst app I’ve ever seen
I tried the app on two iPhones and an iPad, it failed to work on any of them, producing an error message every time and on two of the devices the app crashed.
The reviews don’t appear to reveal a single user who has got it to work. The developers should be ashamed of themselves if this is the best they can do. The manufacturer would do everybody a favour if they simply stopped telling customers that there is an app.
Fortunately the alarm doesn’t need the app in order to work, otherwise I would have sent it back.

Useless waste of data space
This app does nothing, the scanning process doesn’t work and just constantly shuts down the app, don’t bother.
Crashes on registration attempt
As most people state the app fails to register a device. It either scans and errors or when you get the camera close enough to the camera and see the red lines the app just crashes.
Doesn’t work
Absolutely useless, an app that is for health and safety purposes should function correctly, when you attempt to scan the device the app consistently fails to read any information, and constantly crashes.
