This is a fire and hazard alerting and monitoring app for the United States and Canada, designed to function on all supported iOS devices, including those operating in lockdown mode. The current available fire apps typically do not function correctly on devices that are operating in lockdown mode. This app uses publicly available data from FIRMS (NASA), WildCAD, WFIGS, InciWeb, CWFIS, NIFC, NWS and other national and local reporting data sources to provide reasonably current information on wildfires and other hazards within a user specified distance from the user's current location. If available, the app will also provide fire perimeter information and evacuation information. This app covers the 48 contiguous United States and Canada. There are also user selectable options in settings to report on earthquakes, weather alerts, air quality and even volcanoes.
