1.4.9
September 27, 2026
What's New in 1.4.9 US holidays, month widgets, day-tap navigation, and Extra Work for overtime and off-duty jobs. NEW • US holidays: turn on Show US Holidays in Calendar Settings. A purple shade marks federal holidays in the app; tap a date or open List for names. Widgets and PDFs include them. • New month widgets: choose a large calendar with colored event dots or a tall calendar with event titles on iOS 27 or later. Both follow your week-start and week-number settings. • Open a day from a widget: tap a Month widget date, or the date, heading, event, shift, all-day label, or “more” line in a schedule widget. Calendar opens that day’s popup; List selects the day. Reminder checkboxes still complete reminders. • Introducing Extra Work: track overtime, details, and off-duty jobs in the new Extra Work tab. Add pay details to an existing app event or create a new event while logging your work. • A clearer dashboard: browse Week, 2 Weeks, Month, or Year. View Activity and period entries, and filter by work type or payment status. • A consistent layout: Outstanding, Expected Payday, and All Entries have blue summary cards and grouped entries. Use the back button or an edge swipe. • Print Extra Work reports: preview and print a PDF from All Entries, Outstanding, Expected Payday, or Activity. Reports follow the entries, totals, and filters shown on screen. • Monthly and yearly earnings: browse earned and paid totals for overtime, off-duty work, and both combined. Paid includes partial and later payments. Your Month or Year choice is remembered. • Hours, rates, and estimated pay: record hours, rates, and overtime multipliers. Save shift or company rates and payment terms. Rates support four decimal places. • Saved rates for each shift: set Day, Evening, and Night hourly rates once. Selecting a shift fills in its saved rate, adjustable per entry. • Know what you're owed: see outstanding and overdue balances across all years, grouped by work week. Tap a week to expand or collapse its entries. Record partial payments and track what remains. • Plan weekly paydays: set your payday, filter work types, and browse weeks with the arrows. Tap the week range for this week or hold it to choose another. Totals follow expected payment dates. • Extra Work Settings: pay display, saved shift rates, weekly payday, and 2-week pay-period options, together in Settings. • Pay details alongside your events: open Pay from an app event's details to review or edit its entry. Choose whether pay appears on calendar events. Pay stays in the app and is not sent to iOS Calendar, widgets, or Siri. FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS • A roomier Month calendar: the Month view now extends down behind the tab bar, giving every day more space so its events are easier to see. • Month widgets keep cached events visible when a calendar or reminder refresh is unavailable. All widgets stay readable in tinted and clear Home Screen appearances. • Edited titles, dates, times, and notes refresh in Calendar and linked Extra Work details after saving, with recorded pay unchanged. • Switching to List in the current month selects today instead of the first day. • Time-formatting differences no longer trigger a schedule-change warning or block saving a pay entry. Genuine date or time changes still ask you to review payable hours. • Calendar refreshes when you return to the app, including after a quick visit to iOS Calendar. Deleting an iOS event in the app refreshes the displayed month and day popup. • Reminders at a glance: Month dots show an open circle for unfinished reminders and a checkmark for completed ones, matching List view. • Calendar stays current: Month refreshes after changes made in another tab. Reopening the app on a new day selects today. • Smoother Extra Work: Expected Payday arrows change weeks without opening the weekday picker. Saving right after reviewing payable hours now works reliably.

First Responders Cal correctly displays events that span midnight on both the originating and subsequent days. For example, a shift from 08:00 to 04:00 the next day will appear accurately on both the current and following day's calendar view.
Yes, you can create custom shift patterns with working and off-day cycles, such as 24/48 or 48/96, or any rotation your department uses. These patterns can be categorized by Fire, Police, EMS, or Other, and once applied, they automatically populate your schedule without duplicates.
