What's New in Fish City

2.0.2

August 25, 2026

Fish Counts, faster to work • Search the entire directory from the Fish Counts screen — every landing and every boat, not just what's on screen. • The day strip stays put when you tap it. No more jumping days mid-scroll. • Sorting now does what you picked, and filters tell you when they're on. • Long-press a boat to unfollow it without leaving the page. Reports worth reading • Fish City reports now show up in your feed — photos, catch details, and the boats behind them. • Landing news reads cleanly, with the lead story up top. • Verified boats and landings carry a simple checkmark. Rankings you can trust • Every leaderboard now shows the trips behind the number, weighs recent fishing heavier, and leaves out boats without enough data to rank fairly. Sign-in fixes • Google sign-in works when your email is already on file. • Password reset lands on the right screen. • Fixed a crash when setting a new password.

User reviews

Nicely done, I REALLY like it. Your 2.0.0 update is Awesome! Great app for offshore fishing addicts.

Thanks for the great 2.0.0 update that nailed down anything and everything I found less than perfect in my previous review. Great job! Your efforts are appreciated and well done. Highly recommended for anyone invested in the world’s best fishing scene that we have here in SoCal and all up and down the West Coast.

Response from developer

Hi Dave, thank you for taking the time to write this. You're right, and we're sorry. Fish count history for every boat, going back days, weeks, and months, has been in the app since day one, but we buried it behind too many taps and never explained where to find it. That's on us, not you. We just released an update that fixes this. The calendar now sits right at the top of the Fish Counts screen, so you can jump to yesterday's counts, or any previous day, in one tap. No more waiting for boats to check in before you can see the whole picture. We also added the ability to follow your favorite boats, which gives you a faster path to their fish counts, fish reports, and schedule updates. Please give the update a try. If anything still feels hard to find, we'd genuinely like to hear about it at team@fishcity.app

No VC reports

Seems like a good app for So Cal saltwater anglers. BUT, there are no Ventura County reports, which makes it pretty useless for me. Expand your coverage and I’ll be back.

Response from developer

Appreciate you posting this. Ventura County coverage was a blind spot for us, and your review helped surface it. We've added Ventura County landings and reports to the app now. Give it another shot and let us know what you find.

Unable to sign up/no app support available

The app has good information. But I’d like to be able to sign up. there is no way to contact any support to fix this nor is there a way to click on the option to sign up.

Response from developer

Hi Walt, thanks for the feedback, and sorry you ran into this issue. We’re aware of a signup issue affecting some users and are actively working on a fix. In the meantime, please reach out to us at team@fishcity.app and we’ll get you set up right away. We’re also adding a clearer in-app support option to make this easier going forward. Appreciate you giving Fish City a try!

Track local landings

I’ve only been using it for a few months and it’s already better than going to various websites to obtain daily landing reports. If only the app gave information about where the sport fleet is fishing. This would be very helpful for private boaters as well.

Been checking it every day for fish counts !
