Fishing Log & Tide Times

Is your secret spot quietly leaking out through social media? Fishing Log is a private log app where your records stay inside your own device. It is not a social network, so there is nothing to post, nothing published, and nobody at our end looking in. The only time it talks to the outside is to fetch weather and tide, and to draw the map (see "Made to be safe to use" below). - Take the photo, and the rest is automatic Take a photo and the date, place (GPS), tide and weather are all recorded for you. Quick to save one-handed with wet hands, and the species and size can be filled in later. - Read the tide, choose your day Today's tide curve (high and low water times, the dawn and dusk windows, sunrise and sunset) is there the moment you open the app. A monthly tide calendar shows the next spring tide at a glance. Choose your usual place or your current location. - A quiet word the day before a spring tide Turn it on in the settings and you are told on the evening before a spring tide. It is off to begin with, and the notification is handled entirely inside your device. - A secret-spot map that is yours alone Places you caught something stay as pins on a map. Tap one and see what has been caught there before. The exact place stays inside your device, and there is no feature that publishes it. - Your own patterns start to show Charts by species, by tide and by time of day, and a personal best for each fish. The more data gathers, the more clearly you see the pattern of when you catch. A blank day counts as a proper record too. - A fish guide that fills up The species you catch fill in a guide. One more reason to wonder what to go for next. - One payment, once. No subscription The app itself is free. Rather than earning from ads or from collecting data, the extra conveniences were made into a one-time "Premium" (pay once, keep it forever). There are no ads and no subscription. There is simply no mechanism here that turns your records into revenue. Premium opens four things: the full list of favourite places in the tide table (3 when free), the full statistics (top 6-8 when free), CSV export, and several photos on a single record. The pins on your secret-spot map are all shown even when free, and records, photos, weather, tide, notifications, the fish guide and backup all stay free as before. - Made to be safe to use - No registration and no login - Your catches and photos are never stored on or sent to our servers (they stay inside your device) - Only to show weather and tide is a coarse location (blurred to about 5km) sent to a weather service. Nothing that identifies you is sent - Location data embedded in photos (Exif) is removed automatically - Backup export and import are supported Tide phase, tide height, sunrise and sunset, and the spring tide judgement are calculated estimates. Tide heights come from a weather model, not from a tide gauge. Real tides vary with region and terrain. Please note: the detailed map layer covers Japan. Tide and weather work worldwide.
