No longer connects to my Fitbit - Boo!

Boo! FitBridge no longer syncs with my Fitbit since I moved my Fitbit to my Google account! Is there anything that can be done?

Provides most detail of all synch apps I tried

This app provides the granularity in data for heart rate, calories burned in intervals throughout the day, etc where other apps provide only a single summary/average.

It provides easy ability to select which categories of data to sync

It provides the ability to synch data by a range of dates. If you have had Fitbit a long time and want ALL history synched it’s best to do it in chunks at a time or at least a category at a time. Since this app is getting the DETAILED intervals and not just a summary line there is a LOT of data. It WILL take longer than other apps to synch for this reason. This is not a ‘fault’ or an issue, it simply reflects the amount of data being transferred.

It does not provide an option to ‘auto synch’. This not an issue for me but apparently it is a feature some folks value.

The best Fitbit to Health synch app I have found…..

Stopped working

Suddenly stopped working today after my phone updated to iOS 16.2

Response from developer

Could you please explain better the issue?

Doesn’t work

IOS 16. It doesn’t sync properly at all. None of the measures pass through from Fitbit to Apple Health.

Hello, could you please send us an email explaining your issue? Our email is: info@fishingfrogs.com Thank you

Bad for sleep data

Indulges time in bed but not actual time asleep; both Fitbit and Apple health has both, fitbitsync only records time in bed.

Response from developer

Hi, unfortunately this data is not available on the Fitbit API. Thank you for your comprehension.

Will not connect

Will not connect with fitbit

Intraday ✅ but needs improvements

Does what it promises but should be clearer on 7-day limit (calendar is clunky and reverts to 2016) and requires you to move the FitSync data above Apple Health. Read other reviews to get the details. Here’s hoping for an auto-sync feature, including the reading all historical data (even if a week at a time).

Too complicated

I can’t even log in let alone sonic up... way to complicated

Only syncs 7 days

It should really be noted in the description that this app only syncs 7 days at a time. Because of this it’s not appropriate for someone looking to sync their entire FitBit history. I’m sure it works great within that 7 day window, but when the app is clearly competing against apps designed to sync the entire history not mentioning that limitation is misleading at best.

Syncs intraday heart rate and more

The ONLY app I found that actually does this (I tried many others apps and all failed to do this basic thing). Does need an auto sync in the app, once a day would be fine, you can set up a sync automation in the shortcuts app, and it somewhat works, however: the date range for some reason does not update as days pass, and also it appears to log one out of FitBit quite frequently.

So in short: it can do the sync manually, but the automatic sync needs a lot of work.

Problem

Doesn’t let me log in

Login loop and only syncs 7 days of data.

I Purchased the fit sync app tonight and it’s not working. It keeps telling me to sign into Fitbit, which I do and then it goes back to the login screen. Also, it does not state in the details that this only has the capability of of only syncing 7 days worth of data.

Response from developer

Hello, could you please confirm that are you using the Fitbit credentials? Google and Facebook are not supported right now. Regarding the 7 days range, this is a Fitbit API limit. Please consider that you can sync older data, 7 days it’s just the max data size for each request.

Works as advertised

As long as you are willing to change the priority of the data sources inside the Apple Health App — in this case by dragging the FitSync app above your phone in the data source of Steps for example — the app works as advertised.

Installstion

It is u usual for me to take this thing back at such a cheap price, but I want to make a statement to this company about putting such a substandard product on the market to mar the name of the company.

Poor service

Very poor when it is hard to set a password and keep it I wanted to take part in fitting . There is no help.

Finally

Finally an app that actually does heart info!!!

Do not down load

One night ago I downloaded this app and I have had serious problems with the app my phone and the Fitbit app since then. It crashed my phone once. I wasn’t able to open the app at all several times and it neverMoved the information from the Fitbit app to the Apple health app.

Yesterday I had 15,000 steps and it only recorded that I did 6000 steps on my Apple Health app, even when I updated/ used and tried to use the app several times.

Since, owning the app I needed to restart my phone twice. And both times the phones’ power down screen was even messed up. The emergency SOS slide button and the Medical ID slide button were over lapped, making them unusable. As soon as deleted this app the phone started acting normal again.

I have deleted many apps in the passed because they didn’t work but I have never worried about my phone not working because of an app.

Response from developer

I’m sorry but that’s don’t think to be related to FitSync. On iOS each app is running in a sandbox and what happens here could not affect the system. Even if the App gathers to much memory the system will kill it to prevents any crashes. Please check that your iPhone is in the last system version in order to prevents any system bugs. Regards
