Two Player Option

We have enjoyed this game for a long time but the two player option had disappeared. Please bring it back!

Not updated in a long time

This app has not been updated in a long time, so there is no support for the bigger display of the newest iPhone and iPod Touch generations, which is a shame because the game is actually really good. Unfortunately there are also some stability issues. I am giving it only 3 out of 5 stars because it could really use an update but no one on the developers' side seems to care any more.

Solid, well done, love it!

The most-played game on my iPhone. Excellent. No complaints whatsoever. Thanks.

Almost flawless...

Nice app, very well done. Three things would make it even better. The first two are game-play flaws, the last is just mildly annoying:
1. If you've already filled "Five Dice" (yahtzee) with a zero, a roll of five of a kind should qualify for 25 points in Full House, but the game gives zero.
2. In the same situation, if you roll five of a kind on the first or second roll, but you have no way to get points with it (e.g. five 3's when all you need is 2's), the game doesn't allow you to discard all dice and throw the remaining roll(s).
3. If you don't get a top 20 score (ie. virtually every game after you've played a couple hundred), the game says "Oops! You need to practice more." No, I don't think so. I played fine, I just didn't get lucky dice this time. Ironically, the more you play, the more likely it is you'll see this silly little message. How about "Nice Game!"... or maybe no message. As my grandmother would say, if you don't have something nice to say, just don't say anything at all.

But on the whole I still like the game and would recommend it over other Yahtzee-like apps I sampled.

Great Yahtzee-style game

Far better than the others I've found. Solid app, no ads.

Best game on iPhone/iPod

I was obcessed with this game on the jailbroken phone. Now I love it even more. 4 dollars is too much compared with other games but is a great deal compared to the cost of a value meal.

Very Very Good

This new version is a great improvement as it does not crash every five minutes. What is now needed is a version that will self orientate for the iPad!

crashes sometimes (fix it!)

i bought this app, and it was fine until it crashed! i demand my refund! dont buy this app at all

Awesome!

Great app!!!!!!!!!

Best yahtzee game out there

Bar none

Okay

I have played better versions of yahtzee. Layout is nice but really not made for two players on the iPad. It's hard to determine whose turn it is because the screen does not rotate for each player. Disappointed in that regards.

Awesomeness

Got this one last night and have played it non stop lol. Love yatzee. A couple of times when I hit play again it went back to my home pages but just went back into app with no dramas recommend.

Great app!

Crispy, clean, easy to use game. Worth every penny! Lots of fun.

Version 1.5 Needs More Work

I like this app but version 1.5 appears to be a half finished update. The app finally includes graphics for the retina display but there are still lots of low resolution graphics that still need to be updated. Additionally the tab bar at the bottom now contains a new tab but the developer failed to name the tab appropriately. It says "item" when it should say "Settings". Pretty sloppy mistakes to make in an update that took a LONG time to come out.

Latest Update Did The Trick!

The 1.04 update to Five Dice cured the crashing problems I was having. I've supported and donated to this particular developer since Five Dice was on Installer and his customer service has been outstanding! Five Dice is my go-to "idle time" game on my iPhone and I was so happy to see it on the AppStore shortly after the 2.0 firmware upgrade was released. Keep up the good work!

A long time later, an update was released to upgrade the icon to retina display and fix the "freezing" bug in 4.x. Thank you! Five Dice plays effortlessly once again!

Great Game!

Bought day one of my iPhone 1 experience and still play it often!

effective

it's simply and to the point, had it since 2008 and only crashed a few times until I rebooted phone. it may not have the worthless eye catching animations but it's a solid first rate clone without in-app purchases or advertisements.

Needs updates

Don't buy this program if they don't update it!

It crashes and pauses frequently, it used to work much better but is in need of an update for the newest operating systems.

Wish they would update it

This was one of the first apps I bought for my original iPhone when the app store was launched. I love the game, but the lack of updates is creating a problem as the OS evolves. It frequently freezes and pauses, making playing a frustrating experience.
