A difficult game is supposed to reward precision and practice, but this one punishes you even when you appear to do everything correctly. After a while, it becomes impossible to tell whether you made a mistake or the collision detection simply decided you were going to lose. That kind of inconsistency completely destroys the gameplay loop because there’s no way to improve when the rules don’t seem to match what’s happening on screen.
The controls don’t help either. Sometimes the bird feels sluggish, while other times it seems to overreact to a tap. Combined with the oversized collision box, every attempt feels like a gamble instead of a test of skill. The original Flappy Bird was brutally difficult, but at least every failure felt deserved. Here, I constantly found myself saying, “There’s no way I actually hit that.”
Visually, the game looks like a low-effort clone. The art style is generic, the animations are stiff, and there isn’t much personality to set it apart. Copying a successful game isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you add your own ideas or improve the experience, but this version feels like it copied the appearance without understanding what made the original work.
The lack of polish is noticeable throughout. Hitboxes don’t seem to match the sprites, the gameplay feels inconsistent, and the overall experience comes across as rushed. When the core mechanic of flying through gaps doesn’t function reliably, there’s very little reason to keep playing.
I don’t mind games being hard—I actually enjoy a challenge. What I don’t enjoy is losing because the game’s collision detection doesn’t match what I’m seeing. Until the hitboxes are fixed so the bird can actually fit through the visible gaps, I can’t recommend this game. Right now it feels more frustrating than fun, and that’s the opposite of what an arcade game should be.
