Very disappointing from devs of Phoenix 2
Zero challenge and levels were basically repeats of each other. I love the game Phoenix 2 from the same developers but this game really lacks content worth playing it for.
You can upgrade your ships weapons but why? If I can beat the level already why would I need to upgrade? Levels take too long because it's so slow. Not worth the 99 cents unfortunately

Wie in der Arcade
Geiles Ballerspiel. Wie früher in der Arcade, 90er Technobeats, das Spiel ist einfach und macht Spaß. Vor allem, keine Lootboxen oder in App Käufe.

An idea well done and adapted to the great genre!
The shoot'em'up genre is ever increasing and demanding on the iPhone. The developers have clearly done something new to this one, and it's a satisfying control scheme that just works, and works great at that! Use one thumb to slide the vertical direction of your ship, and the other to slide the horizontal direction. Avoiding enemy attacks and meteor storms will test your reflexes and skill, but once the controls are hung with you'l wonder how you ever went about without them. You'l definately have to re-do a few levels, since they do last quite a while and get increasingly difficult. It's also a good way to earn more XP to spend in the shop.
Flare Elite is that kind of game that's simple in design and audio, but just excels in the gameplay itself. You'll always have complete control of your ship and how it reacts. At no point do I ever feel helpless as the mechanics and physics are just right, leading your fighter to react exactly how you wish. While it may at times seem like a short work in progress (I'm assuming it is), it's certainly a well lived experience while it lasts and even beyond. If you're a fan of the shooting genre, or want to try your fingers at a quick reflex-action title, then Flare Elite will amaze you. Can't go wrong with the price on this one; the content and gameplay is certainly there, with only a few small shortcomings being evident in the other departments such as graphical and sound depth/quality. There are a few game tracks which create a light atmosphere, and while they do enhance the whole arcade experience, they could be a little better matched to this kind of fast paced shooting. Otherwise, an awesome game worth trying for any new or experienced gamer!

Good but lacking a decent end level and is repetitive
Ok so you won't be dissapointed this game is exactly what you expect it to be. It doesn't bring anything new to the table though, I would of liked to see something more surprising and the end level was just more of the same, so that was dissapointing.

The controls are awkward, and the action feels a little clunky - lacks smoothness. There isn't enough space on the screen for the size of the ships that are after you, which gives this game a crowded feeling; and it isn't imaginative in any obvious way. Just limited to shooting in one direction all the time.
All in all it is not bad although I should mention that I am disappointed to see the developers rating their own game here.
