Flash Cards Maker User Reviews

Top reviews

looks nice and is very simple to use but…

the app looks amazing its so clean expet i want to be able to add images to my cards then it would be 5 stars

Response from developer

Dear, The idea of Memory Tags is to keep it simple and fast. Therefore I deliberately didn’t go for featuring adding images to the cards. Best, Reza

EDIT BUTTON NOT WORKING

NOT letting me edit the tags so I can make the quiz about one subject, i know i put a tag on the cards and they don’t have one so they don’t showed up, EDIT button not working

Response from developer

Dear Isabella, I checked the edit button and it works for both cards and tags. Can you say specifically where you faced this problem? Best.

Unusable

You cannot copy and paste from another app, once swap the app your card created disappears and pop up a adv to buy membership. Worst app ever seen

Crazy flashcard limit

The fact that this is a flashcard app designed for students that can probably not afford the paid version of it and still added so many restrictions for free users, such as limited desks that can only contain 25 flashcards each is crazy. Nice UI with nice tools and could have been a great app if the developers weren't so money hungry. Addition of subfolders would considerably amerliorate this limited app as well.

Great idea, just a little underdeveloped.

The app idea is great! Having Flashcards that are separable by tags is an awesome idea. I have found a couple of issues, however:

• If you have a lot of tags, you cannot see your cards anymore. The tag section grows depending on the content with no cut-off point, leading to me having 20-ish tags and half my screen being taken up.

• When adding a tag the keyboard has a tendency to glitch, so it’s not easy nor quick to add new tags. I have to hope for the app not to have a fit when I add a new tag.

• When selecting multiple tags to study from, cards just get added based on if any of the selected tags are present on the card and not ALL of the selected tags which would be more logical.

Otherwise, this app is great. It makes adding cards easy and fast. The UI looks great and special.

Geweldige app

Het is een super goeie app! Ik gebruik hem bijna voor alles! Voor mijn woorden in het Frans, Engels... voor mijn definities... ik vind de app geweldig

Not free

Stops you at like 20 flash cards and asks for payment… so freaking annoying

Has bugs

For whatever reason it would randomly delete some of my cards, also, it would add in over 100 extra cards that had nothing to do with what I was doing

Getting spammed to pay

I havent even used all of the 25 cards up yet and i'm getting spammed. It happens everytime i interact or open the app. I'm all for supporting indie dev but this just makes it hard to WANT to.

to add, after i used the 25 free cards i WAS going to pay but now i am moving to a new app entirely.

Response from developer

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that. You can always use the free trial and enjoy the app. I hope you understand that being an indie developer is not easy, I have to test all possible ways to get the most retention from my users and I'm so sorry that you find this spamming. To compensate, I'd like to offer you a discount code. If you are interested, please contact me on: support@mmrtgs.com

You can’t randomize the cards.

How is this helpful? I’m just memorizing the order of the cards’ answers. Not the actual definitions that I’m trying to learn.

I just got an email from the developer saying that the cards automatically shuffle each quiz. They definitely do not.

Response from developer

Dear billbo flapjack, Thank you for your review. In the latest update, the flashcards get shuffled in each quiz. So don't have to worry anymore about the order of your flashcards. I hope that you give Memory Tags another chance. Best, Reza --------- Hi again, In version 2023.03.01 the flashcards get shuffled during a quiz. If you still see your flashcards during a quiz in the same order as you made them, you may update Memory Tags. On the main page, you see indeed your all flashcards sorted by date. To learn your flashcards, you are supposed to take a pre-made quiz and not study them from the main page. I hope this helps your, otherwise you can always contact me via this email address: support@mmrtgs.com I'm always open to suggestions and would be glad to make Memory Tags a better app for you. Best, Reza

Nice

This app has an appealing design, but it seems a bit pricey for its functionality. I find myself wishing for a larger card size, especially when the response consists of just a few lines of text. Scrolling on such a small surface can be inconvenient.

Flashcards App that WON’T frustrate you!!!

This app works flawlessly. For a new app, it is itself an achievement. The UI is clean and easy to use & understand. This app does need some features to be added like using pictures to create the cards for visual learners, but this app gets the basics right. Easy to use, clean looks and no bugs - what else can a student want during his/her studies. It is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me.

Have been trying to get in contact with the developer using the email provided, the delivery of the email fails everytime. Help!!!

We are so happy that you like Memory Tags. Hi, Please email me on: support@mmrtgs.com

Good and Improving Flash Card App

I've tried out tons of different flash card apps, and this one is the best I've found so far for what I need. First, I like how streamlined it is. There are no gimmicks, and the app is clean and straightforward. Second, it allows complete creation of cards with whatever amount of text you want on the back. I use it for language vocabulary, but unlike pre-made decks, I can customize what information is displayed. For example, I can customize my latin words to accent long vowels, and I can include the gender of the word on the reverse side instead of on the front with the word (like many pre-made decks on other apps).

Third, I can keep separate decks by tagging cards, and I can even put multiple tags on each card. So, say I want to study latin vocab in general, I can select that deck, but if I also want to study latin vocab in Cicero, I can select the "Cicero" tag. And I also have German flash cards tagged differently, etc.

Fourth, the app can be setup to offer daily reminders to study, and it will automatically generate quizzes for the best memory retention or for difficult words.

All in all, I love the app and the improvements recently made.

The Best Flash Card App available

This app works seemlessly through all of Apple's ecosystem devices. No better way to study, separate certain flash cards and make them your own! An amazing app! Also has a LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION!!!

Dear Donny, Thank you for your review. We are glad that you like Memory Tags. Try contact us if you have any suggestion. Best.

Superior UI

I’ve tried several other flashcard apps on the Store. I gotta say that most of them were way too flashy with a UI loaded with things I personally don’t need. All I want is flashcards to learn vocabulary. And this is what Memory Tags offers. Simple to use UI that makes learning appealing rather than being overstimulated by the convoluted UI of other apps. I’m really happy I can just focus on memorizing new words now.

Thank you for fixing! :)

This app is amazing in almost every way. It is well worth any money they ask. I can add as many flashcards as I want under different tags and then quiz myself. The quiz automatically shuffles cards and then gives the option to work on the weaker cards, something that is missing in so many other apps. The only thing I would like to see it the ability to add pictures to these cards. I am still more than happy with it the way it is.

EDITED 04/05/23
Editing after the new update. When I am doing homework I use split screen on my computer. I used to be able to have a Word document open and memory tags open. The word document would take up 3/4 of the screen and then the memory tags window was able to be slid over to the right and down to the width of one flashcard. With the new update, it is unable to be minimized to one flashcard, and will only minimize to two flashcards and takes up half the screen. I do not like this as it cuts off my Word document and it annoys me. Please fix this!!! I loved how it was before!

Hi, We are so happy that you find Memory Tags useful. About adding pictures to flashcards, we intend to keep Memory Tags simple to use and straightforward. You can always use your iPhone or iPad to scan a text and add it as a flashcard. Scribble also works perfectly on iPad. So if you want to add your notes as flashcards, you can use this method. Best 😊 EDITED 04/05/23 Hi again, Thanks for reaching out. This is a simple fix, coming to the next update. No concern 😊 If you have any suggestion, feature idea or bug reporting, I'd appreciate it if could send me an email to this address (support@mmrtgs.com) Thanks.

No Way To Edit!!!

Great App for making flash cards and uisng the quiz feature, but once you make a flash card, there is no way to edit the card or delete it from a tag in the event you add the same flash card twice. Plus, when you 1st log into the app, it asks you to sign up for the 7 day free trial and then pay for the app. Need to be able to edit or delete flash cards once they are made then this might be the perfect flash card app.

Thanks for your review. It is indeed possible to edit, archive and delete flashcards and tag. All you need to do is right click on the item and select the action you wish for.

Awesome app!

I love this app is super awesome and simple! You can begin studying in a matter of seconds… The only thing I’d like to see changes the ability to share flashcards with others
