Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review โ€” as a solo developer working on this in my spare time, I read every piece of feedback and genuinely use it to improve the app. You're right that Flash could use a proper onboarding walkthrough โ€” that's a real gap, and I plan to add a short tutorial screen to help new users get oriented. In the meantime, here's the quick version: Sets and Folders are just containers for organizing your words โ€” a Set holds the actual words you're studying, and a Folder can hold multiple Sets. How you use them is entirely up to you; for example, you might make a Folder per language level or textbook chapter, with a Set inside for each unit or topic. To get started, tap the "+" in Sets to create one, then add words to it either by hand or by searching the built-in dictionary and tapping the "Add to Set" button on any word's detail page. From there, open the set and tap Study to start flashcarding. I'd gently push back on two points, though. Flash intentionally doesn't come pre-loaded with words โ€” the same way Quizlet and Anki, the two most popular flashcard apps out there, both start completely empty until you create your own set or search for one. Shipping this app with my own word list would mean deciding for you what you should be studying, which felt like the wrong call for a general-purpose study tool. On importing: you're right that it's limited today โ€” it currently only supports re-importing data you've previously exported or shared from Flash itself. Adding CSV import so people can quickly bring in word lists from elsewhere is a great suggestion, and I'll be looking at that for a future update. Thanks again for the feedback, and I hope you'll give the app another look as these improvements launch.
