Dog thunder flight risk
Highly recommend. Been super useful to get alerts when lightning and thunder are close by. We have a dog that is terrified of thunder and jumps the fence. Now we can prepare and lock her in the house.
Pay for too much
Tried this app when first came out. Had issues, something’s changed. But way too many features are free on well known free apps. Paying for lightning alerts-nope, the metrics (showing humidity, uv, etc) never appears).

Great app IF you pay.
Great lightning app and interface, but basic things like more than one location notification requires a subscription so I’ve moved to other apps.
Issues
This app was recommended to me with the caveat that it doesn’t always load quickly or at all. After a few days I would agree. I’m in the middle of a storm and the lightening feature won’t load. Seems decent but only if it works which appears to be about half the time. Certainly not worth the price they charge

Mind emailing support@flashweather.ai with your device and any screenshots you're able to share? We'd like to look into what's causing the load issue.
Must Have Weather APP
Flash Weather AI has become my sole go-to weather. Everything I need weather wise in one place and extremely accurate. Site specific and easy to save multiple locations. The lightning prediction is unparalleled and a great safety tool!

Flapping my wings for Flash AI
Flash AI obviously gives weather notifications. I am an avid or an anthologist and have been seeking a European Stirling my entire life. Thank God, I had my lightning notification turned on because boy did I get one and boy did European starling all thanks to Flash AI!

With the latest update 5/01/26, I was able to subscribe, and the app works very well indeed. Highly recommended!
The lightning alerts are magnificent, if they work. They now hide them under a Premium toll bridge; there does not seem to be any way to sign up for this on my iPod - when I go to manage account, all I get is a promo for Apple One. I have contacted the app at least five times, and have received no answer. I want to sign up, but can’t find any way do so…

This app has been so helpful for me!! I coach youth soccer so I’m outside all the time, so knowing when lightening is coming has helped me plan my session well. I also like the radar way more than other apps. Definitely worth it!

A1 service all the way around.
App became horrible after premium came in
After the recent update close to everything became paid I would have preferred ads and not having to pay just to get notifications or the heat forecast. Very disappointing after the update.
Was an amazing app till premium kicked in.
Used to be a great app for taking out to the golf course but with the latest update this thing is now locked tighter than Fort Knox for premium add ons. I’m reverting back to MY Radar since it’s also Apple Car Play accessible.
