FAQ

What does the @Flash app do?

The @Flash app is a powerful and advanced flashlight that offers much more than basic illumination. It includes multiple operation modes, the ability to send and decode Morse messages using light or sound, and can function as a distress-signaling device. It aims to be the most complete flashlight application available for mobile devices.

What are the key features of @Flash?

Key features include a strong LED torch (or screen light if no LED is available), various torch modes like pulsating and pusher, SOS distress signaling, Morse message transmission and decoding, and two semaphore modes. It also offers customizable startup behavior and sound notifications for an improved user experience.

Is @Flash free to use?

The core functionality of @Flash is available for free. However, there is an option to upgrade to a Pro, ad-free version through an in-app purchase. This Pro version includes a complete list of Morse Codes and an improved decoding algorithm.

What devices is @Flash compatible with?

@Flash is designed to show its full potential on iPhone 4, utilizing its LED flash, speakers, microphone, and video camera. However, the app automatically adapts to other devices that may not have all these capabilities, finding workarounds like using the screen for light when an LED flash is not present.

What are some common use cases for @Flash?

Common use cases include using it as a standard flashlight in low-light conditions, sending and receiving Morse code messages for discreet communication or practice, using semaphore modes in specific situations, and employing the SOS mode for emergency signaling when phone calls are not possible.
