About

Overview: FlashCards are a great tool for drilling on vocabulary. This deck provides 1000+ words and phrases that are geared to students of Mexican-Spanish. The vocabulary is categorized and rated, including idioms local to and broadly used in the Americas. Filters and Challenge Mode allows you to easily identify the vocabulary you want to focus on. Modes: Run Mode: Normal or Challenge. In Challenge Mode, the display will pause. Tap the red arrow to advance to the next card. Tapping the black star will add the card to the Favorites Category. Tapping the green checkmark will move the card to the "Challenged" category. Challenged cards will no longer appear in your rotations or Vocabulary view. Card Order: Flashcards can be presented in English to Spanish, Spanish to English, or randomly present Spanish or English as the first side. Run Speed: The Run Speed can be adjusted to speed up or slow down the delay between the card sides. Note: Muting the sound will allow the cards to run faster. Sound: Flashcards will announce the words or the sound may be muted. Filters: Level and Catgory filters are applied to narrow the vocabulary set for review. Level: The cards are broken into Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels. Selecting a Level limits the Vocabulary to that Level. Category: The cards are further categorized into related word types such as “Nouns”, “Adjectives“, “Phrases”, “Food”, “Feelings”, etc.. Selecting a Category limits the Vocabulary to that Category. An additional "Favorites" Category will appear with cards you've tagged as Favorite from the Vocabulary or Challenge view. An additional "My Cards" Category will appear with the cards that are added by you (see Add Cards). An additional "Not Tagged" Category will appear that contains the cards that are not Challenged or Favorites. An additional "Challenged" Category will appear for cards you have Challenged. Run or Challenge: Flashcards are filtered, shuffled, and rotated according to the Filters and Modes. Use the Challenge Mode to easily identify words you know well and focus on the ones you want to learn. Vocabulary: A list of Flashcards are presented in alphabetical order according to the Filters and Order selected. The list can be further narrowed by entering text into the search dialog. Tapping on a list item will display the card details. Tapping on the "star" will add or remove the card to/from the "Favorites" category. Tapping the "checkmark" will move the card to the "Challenged" category and it will no longer appear in your rotation. Add Cards: You can add your own cards. Your cards are added to the main deck and made directly available via the special “My Cards” category. Note: You must enter both card sides and assign a Level and Category to the card in order for the save button to appear. The clear button will reset the form. Use the “ / “ (pronounced as "or") to separate and add a second meaning to your word. Use the “[Article]” before the word to add an audible cue. Use the “(Comment)” after the word to add a visual cue that is not audible. E.g. [The] Calf / Lower Leg or [The] Calf (Lower Leg) Delete Cards: You may delete cards that you have added to the "My Cards" category. Challenged cards are removed from All rotations and placed into the "Challenged" category.
