Great for family chores, groceries, etc.

This app is what I was looking for all along. Over the last two years, I had been looking for a family chore app that has a little bit of gamification, but not overly complicated. There are tons of there, but they all want dollar values attached to each chore, or some other thing. This app let's you create chores, assign the to people, groups of people, or put them up for grabs. It has a leader board with point values for each chore. It has a groceries list, a chat function, some financial tracking for situations where different family members or roommates handle certain bills. I couldn't ask for a better app for my family.

Widget

App is great but would be good as a widget on the home screen

Gute App

Brilliant app

Free version is great and has helped my housemates and I a bunch!

Great

Simple and easy

Really good app, but could be even better!

My fiancee and I started using this app because I have ADHD and have trouble completing tasks that are not urgent/don’t have deadlines attached. Flatastic is great because it reminds me that tasks are “due” — like when it’s been a week since we cleaned the bathroom mirror, so it’s time to do that again. There are a couple things that would make it even better, though:
1. A widget for iPhone Home Screen. I already put the app on the first page of my Home Screen so i constantly see it and am constantly reminded that i have things to do, but it would be even better to have a widget to remind me WHAT those things are. “You have 3 things to do” is great, but “you have 3 tasks due today:
- do laundry
- do dishes
- vacuum”

… would be even better.

2. Shared tasks. Most tasks we do independently, but some (like folding laundry and changing sheets) we do together. For now, we just alternate who gets credit for those week-by-week, but to be able to assign tasks to BOTH of us and have BOTH of us get credit for them would be amazing.

Overall, great app! Can’t wait to see it get even better in the future :)

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. Glad Flatastic is helping with task reminders. A Home Screen widget showing specific due tasks is noted. Shared task credit for both partners has come up before too. That's a +1 on our list now. We run an agile product development process: currently finalizing custom expense splitting and working on a calendar view, so more is on the way. BR, Malik

Seit Jahren treuer Helfer

Reliable

Good. Reliable and gets the job done

Best Free Household App I’ve Found

Finally found a free app to help me organise my household chores. I love that it syncs with my husband and kids, so we can all see what needs doing and choose which jobs to do. The adds got irritating, But having already tried and tested the app for a while, I didn’t mind paying the small fee to get rid of them. I could just do with a way to prioritise which chores could do with being first, and which ones can wait. Apart from that. Fantastic

Alright

It’s good app helping me keep track of my chores and points but I feel I can’t add family since my parents are divorced and you can only have one «house» at a time in the app, wish there was a possibility for multiple so I can keep track of what to do at my dads and at my moms at once and they don’t have to see each other’s business

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback. Support for multiple households at once, so you can track chores separately without them overlapping, is a great idea: Noted and on our list. As a workaround for now, you could use a different email address and the WebApp to manage a second home in parallel. BR, Malik

Amazing

It’s so fun for me and my siblings!!!

So helpful for chores!

Use this as a chore and shopping list app with my kids. It’s very helpful and finally a system we all use consistently.

Simple and great

I've been using this for a year or so. It's great

Okay

Pls add Spanish support and random order of people for each chore thanks

Critical features missing !

Seems like a good app. But it lacks two VERY important capabilities: 1) Ability to split subscription costs among the flat mates. In our case, each person pays a different portion of the rent. So equal splitting doesn't work for us; 2) Only supports a single currency. We live in Basel and so frequently have expenses in CHF and EUR. And occasionally in USD. Despite your app being amazing in every other way, the missing capabilities above render your app useless to us. Are these capabilities even on your product roadmap?

Thanks for the feedback. Custom expense splitting is actually in internal testing right now – so that's coming. Multi-currency support for CHF, EUR, and USD is noted and on our list. Stay tuned. BR, Malik

Exactly what I was looking for

This app has the 3 things we needed. My boyfriend lives with my teenage daughter and me. We needed to share a shopping list and chore list, plus my boyfriend and I needed to be able to share expenses. This does it all! Very happy. Worth the annual subscription fee.

Amazing App!

I really love how this app helps keep my wife and I on track and connected. It’s really easy to get caught up in the business of life and lose track of the small daily things. This app helps to keep those things from building up so we can focus more on each other. A few things I think would make this app even more useful would be the ability to adjust when a task was completed as well as have a different tracker outside of the point system. Sometimes I log something I completed a day late but it would get counted as the same day. Also, the point system can sometimes make it feel like a competition so if you had an alternative where you both are trying to reach a certain amount of points together to meet certain incentives then it may encourage more teamwork!

Thanks for the feedback. Glad Flatastic is helping with household organization and keeping you connected. Adjusting task completion dates and a cooperative points system focused on shared goals – both solid ideas, noted and on our list. BR, Malik

Great app… if you pay

It only lets you review each person’s task history if you pay the premium version, which is kind of a bummer. I already pay 10 subscriptions that I actually need, why pay another for a literal chore list?

Love this app

Helps with communication and helped my partner and I get on the same page.
