Justify buying new monitor

Great tool!

Response from developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! A flickering monitor is no fun. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with the app!

Unclear that it actually works

I tested on every light in my house, LEDs and incandescent and used a tripod for stability. It said no flicker for every light but I know that isn’t true. I don’t know how I can trust the output - but I subscribed “for life” lol

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to test thoroughly with a tripod. Incandescent bulbs often do not show flicker since they stay hot between AC cycles, so those results sound right. For LEDs, it depends on the driver - quality ones have good power smoothing and truly don't flicker. Try on some fluorescent lamps and I am pretty sure you will see that the app will detect there flicker. Thank you and feel free to write directly to me at apps@contechity.com

Flickering from Los Lunas N.M. 87031 Data Center

Our lights flicker all the time, the power level problems here are related to the Benghazi like Data Center under construction. Surges and RF effects from Drones also affect the lights. People here have filed and won a Class Action suit for the Dirt related to this data center+- it’s likely another suit will follow RE: electronic smog destroying everything from appliances to Mental Health- that’s right, we feel the effects and it’s painful and it’s been noted in the medical record, people want out of this community- it’s toxic and hurts!

Response from developer

I really appreciate the 5-star rating! I'm sorry to hear about the difficult situation you and your community are facing with the power quality issues and their effects. It sounds incredibly challenging. I'm glad Flicker Meter has been useful in documenting the flickering problems you're experiencing. Thanks

Not free

Listed as free on the app store, after using it once it would kick me out after declining to pay for a subscription. Useful for the one time i could open it

Response from developer

Yes, the app is free to use for a few weeks so that everyone can try it out. After that, if you like it, a subscription or a one-time purchase is required for continued use. Let me know at apps@contechity.com if you did not have time enough to test it, so that I can prolong your test period. Thank you so much!

Great app and support

The support for the app when I contacted was excellent. The app works much better than the other apps I tried for this. Would definitely recommend
