About

A task is a bit. It's 0 or 1. That's the whole app. Flipbit is a to-do list for people who want the list to stay a list. No projects, no tags, no priorities, no streaks to protect. You write down what you want to get done, and each thing is either done or it isn't. THE BIT IS THE CHECKBOX The checkbox isn't a tick — it's the digit itself. Tap it and 0 becomes 1. There's no third state, no "in progress", nothing to configure. A DAY IS A REGISTER Every task in a day sits in a row, so the whole day reads as one number at a glance. Tap the readout to read the same day back in binary, octal, or hex. SEVEN DAYS, SEVEN REGISTERS Your week is seven stacked rows, each one set a little further back than the one above it. You can see the shape of the week without opening a thing. FLIP FROM THE HOME SCREEN Day and Week widgets put your bits on the home screen. Tap one to check something off without opening the app at all. NOTHING IS HIDDEN Long-press the header and Flipbit hands you the raw records — your week exactly as it's stored on your phone, read-only and copyable. A minimal interface can hide any amount of machinery behind it. This one doesn't. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No account. No sign-up. No server. No sync. No analytics, no tracking, no ads. Flipbit works completely offline, because there's nowhere else for it to work. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO No projects. No tags. No priorities. No due dates. No streaks. No notifications nagging you at 9am. No red text telling you you're behind. Every one of those is left out on purpose — a to-do app turns into a second job the moment it starts asking to be maintained. DETAILS • Light and dark, following your system • Bundled monospace type, so a 0 is never mistaken for a 1 • Haptics on every flip • Drag to reorder • Finished tasks move out of the way but stay countable Flipbit is free, has no in-app purchases, and asks you for nothing.
