Doesn’t seem to do anything
I installed this app and followed the instructions for pairing it to my WhatsApp account. That was all straightforward and easy. However once it was connected to my account it didn’t seem to do anything.
I wanted to use it to more easily chat with my Thai friend. However it didn’t actually ever translate anything to Thai; there was no option to enable a translation feature or a “press and hold message to translate to [foreign language]” option.
I don’t get it. What’s the point? Scraping my WhatsApp account for data mining?

Very helpful
It is making my life easier.
It was great until four days ago.
I loved this app until this latest update. After the latest update. I am no longer able to send messages within the app. The app is no longer usable. Furthermore, I reached out for a customer support and have not received any response.
This is groundbreaking
I have never seen such an app before, so fast, accurate translation and easy to install. Makes life easier for me

After update, they fixed the translation issue. Very useful app, if you can add a way to choose masculine/feminine words that would be helpful. Overall, good app

Need option to delete messages
Almost good! Just need the ability to delete messages since I delete them on WhatsApp but it did not delete on Flipchat (had to reinstall the app to resync chat history)

Very easy to use
I just installed this app and already love it. I’m a native English speaker and intermediate Spanish speaker. My wife and all my in laws speak Spanish, and everyone uses WhatsApp. This app makes those conversations super easy so I don’t have to switch apps to translate if I need to. It’s also a great app for learning since the translations are so seamless in the Learning Mode.

The app is terrific and a lifesaver when it works, however, a lot of times it’s just stuck trying to load my chat history :(

This app is a lifesaver!
I am so glad I stumbled onto this app — it is so much more usable than any other WhatsApp translation method I have seen. Everything else I could find is a keyboard extension, and you have to copy/paste each incoming message. This is a standalone app that translates the entire conversation.
With the latest version the translation quality is much improved.

Wow! Impressive!
The last bug with person’s names being “Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat…x100” (yes it was THAT long) bas been fixed in v3.1.5. Thank goodness. Now the only thing that is lacking, is maintaining capitalization. If I want to say OH MY GOODNESS. It will change it to standard sentence case on the recipient’s message. I also really want to see Brazilian Portuguese, which is much different than standard European Portuguese. And, per capita, theres hardly anybody who uses standard Portuguese (3%)… the Brazilian version is the most widely-used worldwide (97%). So the App Publisher really needs to add both versions to avoid confusion or just replace it altogether with Brazilian Portuguese.

Incredibly impressive honestly. However there is a bug when replying to a specific message, the name of the person which is usually referenced in Bold Blue Letters doesn’t work, instead, “-Flipchat” is appended every single time, even in unrelated messages .. so, currently, just after 2 days of using, the person’s name is “-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat-Flipchat” and unfortunately it keeps growing and growing and growing and i don’t know how to fix it.
