About
You paid $4 for it. It sold for $58. So why did the payout say $41?
FlipMargin logs the cost, the sale, and every fee in between, so the profit you see is the profit that landed.
WHAT YOU TRACK
Items go in when you buy them: photo, price, which store, which bin. From there they move to listed, then sold, or get written off when something never moves at all. There is a quick add mode for the days you come home with a full cart.
The Death Pile screen shows everything still unlisted past whatever cutoff you pick.
FEES
Templates for eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, Whatnot, Depop, Etsy, Grailed, OfferUp, and Facebook Marketplace. Every rate is editable and you can save your own platform.
Whatnot live commission and processing fees are in there too.
Shipping gets two lines: what the buyer paid you, and what the label actually cost. That gap is worth watching.
Each sale stores its own fee snapshot at the moment it sells. A platform can change its rates in March and your January numbers stay exactly where they were.
TAXES
A Schedule C annual summary, as a PDF you can hand your accountant. Full CSV of inventory, sales, and expenses. A 1099-K screen that sets platform totals next to your own books so you can find the gap yourself.
Mileage uses the IRS standard rate for that year. Supplies, subscriptions, and storage map to Schedule C lines.
YOUR DATA
There is no account to make. Everything sits on your iPhone and syncs through your own iCloud, so we never see any of it.
Export works on the free tier. If you stop paying for Pro, you can still pull every record out of the app.
It all works with no signal, which matters in the back corner of a thrift store.
Moving from another app? Import a CSV.
PRICING
Free covers 50 items, all the logging, and this month's net profit.
Pro adds unlimited items, the full analytics, tax exports, multiple photos per item, and Death Pile alerts. $6.99 a month, $39.99 a year, or $99.99 once.
FlipMargin is a bookkeeping app. It is not tax advice and it does not file anything for you. Talk to a professional about your actual return.
Subscription terms: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings.
