Really wanted to like it

Unfortunately just very buggy and doesn’t feel great to use. It looks good and I think it has potential, but at the moment I wouldn’t reccomend it

Response from developer

Sorry it felt rough. 2.4 is on the store now and should feel less broken. If something is still off, tell me which screen and I'll look.

HTTPS required but still great

I struggled with all the other navidrome clients when trying to connect via CarPlay. This one is money once you get it set up with an https connection. I recommend using Caddy on your server. That worked for me.

Cache

Would be good if you add a temp cache like arpeggi where next 10-20 songs gets cached but gets cleared automatically so that it doesn’t always take space

Also in carplay the shuffle button does work but the button animation doesn’t work like when its on it should have a border of ash colored but no border as if it didn’t worked
Show more

Garbage

No option to refresh the source with one click or its hidden so deep that its not even worth it

I made a couple of playlists in navidrome and its still not visible

Response from developer

Try pulling down on Library to refresh. Force quit if that does nothing. If a playlist you made in Navidrome still doesn't show, send me your Navidrome version and I'll chase it.

Clean and sweet

I like it. Worked first try and the ui is clean and well designed. And of course happy it is open source and can contribute.

Enforces HTTPS for Tailscale IPs

Don’t enforce HTTPS for Tailscale IPs. Provide an option to disable the enforcement.

Solid

very nice music player, has some issues with transcoding but it may be tailscale itself

Response from developer

Thank you. Means a lot. Transcoding over Tailscale can be flaky, yeah. Source is https://github.com/kepelet/flo if you ever want to poke around.

Cannot read flac data

Cannot read flac songs so cannot know the end time thus when song ends it get stuck and doesn’t go the next song
Moved to musiver and will be coming back once fixed since I like the UI

A waste of time

I wasted a lot of time trying to make it work. The Navidrome library appeared fine but nothing ever played. I searched in Google and tried solutions but none helped. So I went on and installed Shelv that works great.

I’m sure it’s good

Unfortunately requires an HTTPS connection, which is overkill for a private network that just uses HTTP. I’m sure it’s a great client, but the Navidrome server is specifically not mine and setting this up is out of scope. Unfortunate limitation.

Good Navidrome client but no AirPlay support

AirPlay doesn’t work, throbber on rendering device (an LG TV in my case) keep spinning forever.

Response from developer

AirPlay is in the player. Some TVs just sit on a spinner, and HomePod is grey for a few people. That's a real bug. I haven't fixed it yet.

Great

Thanks for your work

O flo funciona perfeitamente.

Love the app. But one feature request. Please add playback for the Apple Watch app

I love this app and use it everyday and one feature that would be useful for me is to play music on my Apple Watch

Response from developer

The Watch app remotes the iPhone. It doesn't play sound on the Watch, so the phone has to be nearby. On-Watch playback isn't in there yet.

Doesn't support LAN navidrome

Developer seems to be stubborn not to support HTTP (no S) to local network addresses, and blaming Apple for that, while there is a way to enable it.
The only workaround is to provide local ip directly, but it doesn't work for dynamic local ips, obviously.

Response from developer

Sorry about the HTTP wall. It's Apple ATS, not me being difficult: HTTP only works with a typed private IP (192.168.x or 10.x). Tailscale 100.x and hostnames, including MagicDNS, get blocked. I'm not turning ATS off. Easiest Tailscale fix is `tailscale serve` or `tailscale cert`, then use the `*.ts.net` https URL. Subnet-router onto a 192.168 or 10 address works too, or Caddy in front. I wrote it out here: https://github.com/kepelet/flo/discussions/51

Doesn’t open

It doesn’t work! After opening a black screen appears and then it closes!!!

Blank screen on iPhone 17 Pro

Nothing appeared on the screen. Deleted the app

Excellent!

Works just as advertised. Reliable and with a nice GUI and UX. Has some nice additional features like statistics.

Quite usable!

Has some rough edges, but man, this project harkens back to Winamp and the days when software was fun. May this project be the standard bearer in the fight against techno-feudalism.
