There is definitely a need for a Floor Plan-based HomeKit app. Agree with the author. It is much easier than just a list of devices. Looking forward to seeing this app develop and added more options for floorplans sensors, etc

Rooms are no longer limited to rectangles • Drag any corner of a room to reshape it. Walls stay square and snap to nearby rooms. • Tap the + on a wall to add a corner, then drag it to create L-shaped or irregular rooms. Long press a corner to remove it. Undo • Shake to undo or redo your last change. Faster, more reliable device status • Lights, fans, locks and blinds now update the moment they change, instead of on a timer. Status is more accurate and uses noticeably less battery. Floor plans now fit any screen • Layouts scale correctly across iPhone and iPad and survive rotation, instead of being tied to the device they were drawn on. Accessibility • VoiceOver now reads the toolbar and every object on the plan. Camera Support Fixes • Deleted rooms, objects and labels no longer reappear after relaunching. • Fixed a crash when exporting with no floors, and when importing a layout that wasn't valid. • Renaming a label no longer deletes it if you leave the name blank. • Room borders are no longer hidden behind the edge of the floor. • Dark mode now applies immediately instead of after a restart. • Panels no longer dim and block the floor plan behind them. • Fixed duplicated entries in the device list. Note: HomeKit Floor Plan now requires iOS 17.
