Great idea but could be better
I use this app with an enterprise account at crate and barrel to scan homes and create digital floor plans.
What’s good
- it’s fairly simple to use
- not a ton of modifiers/settings
What needs improvement
- the app constantly crashes, or when I am finished with a scan it just says “an error occurred and all the info is lost. You’ll need to scan again.” It’s been like this for the months that I’ve been using it and it’s a real let down.
- their customer service doesn’t seem to care to improve this functionality or user experience
- I wish it had a guided tutorial on how to use it.
- in the middle of a scan the geometric color overlay sometimes disappears entirely and makes me really doubt whether or not it saved the actual scan. The coordinating map itself is really hard to understand.
This could be an excellent app but the interface and performance are far from it. I’m hopeful though that one day it works like a dream.

Absolutely amazing much improved
Much improved over a few years ago when this came out. I would recommend trying the app again. It is fun and the floorplans are highly customizable.

PSA: theres a typo in the app name. Floorscammer is the correct spelling.
I scanned a hotel room for my free trial.
Says it’ll take 2-3 biz days to process the scan. Seemed outrageous but I figured they’re erring on the side of caution and it was free so I had nothing to lose by testing it.
Submitted at 10:26pm and received the “ready” email in under two hours, shortly after midnight. Pleasantly surprised with the lack of wait.
That’s how they got me. Since the free trial went so smooth I paid the $20 to do another floor scan.
This is the morning of the fourth business day (6th day overall) and it’s still “processing.” What a waste!

This app does nothing without $$
Even with the newly added free option I can’t give it a try because there is a -2 balance on a new account. What a joke
Didn’t work
I bought some credits and tried it out. After I finished scanning it went into a “processing” status for 15 minutes. I just deleted it. Don’t waste your money.
