General enhancements and bug fixes

User reviews

Excellent!

Admittedly, I have only just installed this and only used the light meter; as another reviewer noted however, the light meter functionality is perhaps the most valuable asset of this app.
I am very keen to utilize the additional features which, as described, will be very useful for someone with a poor memory for these things.

Almost Perfect

This app has really helped me keep on top of my plant care, as I just can’t stop collecting them! I also appreciate that there’s no pay wall to adding as many plants as you like. It would be 5/5 if not for the fact that it is glitching lately. It’s always loading when I open it, even if I close the app or restart my phone and all of the plants I saved are gone :(

App doesn’t work

I was really excited to give this app a try for my new plants but it won’t load. It takes several attempts and once it does finally open, there’s no plants to add to your collection. You can take a picture but that won’t load either. The website isn’t working either to contact or search faq’s. I’ve deleted app and reinstalled and now I can’t even log in.

Couldn’t create an account

While creating an account in the app the request would time out every time. Even on the website, when I clicked create account it would load the exact same page again and never create the account. The website wouldn’t even take me to the “contact us” or “FAQ” page. I wanted to try this app out but I can’t even access it. Oh well.

Not many plants in database

I really like the look and feel, but could only find about a third of my plants in their database. You can request that new plants be added to their queue, but in the meantime I would have had to do my own research on care and reminders. I might revisit the app in another year or two to see if their database has improved.

FAQ

What does the Florish app do?

Florish is an indoor plant companion app designed to help users choose and care for houseplants. It features a light meter to assess room conditions, a database of common houseplants with expert care tips, and customizable reminders for watering and other care tasks.

How does the light meter feature work?

The app uses your phone's camera to scan the light levels in your room. This helps you understand which plants will thrive in that specific environment, preventing you from buying plants unsuitable for your space.

Is Florish free to use?

Based on the provided information, the app is offered for free, likely as part of a beta testing phase. There are no mentions of in-app purchases or subscription fees.

What kind of plants can I find information on?

The app's database includes many common houseplants, with expert-written descriptions and pro tips. Currently, it does not cover outdoor plants. The database is continuously growing, and users can submit photos of plants not yet included.

Can this app help me if I already own plants?

Yes, you can add your existing plants to the Florish app to receive immediate watering notifications. The app also provides care instructions and helps troubleshoot common plant issues based on its expert database.
