Really poor design

The Flow item that you buy separately does not charge when placed in the dock and one has to hold it in vertical position for it to charge- in effect it’s always uncharged. Waste of money.

App doesn’t open anymore

App crashes immediately upon opening

Inexistent user support. Energy hog

User support is inexistent. No phone line available. You only have access to an IA-driven chat, which redirects to the FAQ (I’ve already read it, thank you). You can open a ticket on a web app, but never receive an answer. The mobile app is an energy hog. The application requires to have a 24/24 access to gps data and will not properly work otherwise (eg. access to gps data only when the app is open), which is nonsense for many user usages.

Nice idea

Nice idea but unfortunately these devices are not very accurate in my experience. I have two and they both have quite different readings at any point in time. I think the PM sensor is perhaps too small to be reliable and my research suggests NO2 is not really possible to monitor effectively with a small sensor (it only gives relative measures, ie going up or down). For anyone wanting better quality PM data I can recommend a Raspberry Pi with the enviro+ hat and PMS5003 sensor, though its NO2 sensor still has the same limitations as the Flow.

Drains battery and increasingly inaccurate

After using this for a few years I have decided to delete as apart from the app not having an update for some time, it drains the battery of your phone and gives dubious readings. I suggest trying an alternative product.

FAQ

What does the Flow app do?

The Flow app collects and analyzes data from the personal Flow air pollution sensor. It provides easy-to-read reports, maps, and graphs about your exposure to pollutants like PM2.5, PM10, NO2, and VOCs, as well as the Air Quality Index (AQI).

What kind of air pollution data does Flow track?

Flow tracks real-time concentrations of PM2.5, PM10, NO2, and VOCs. It also provides the AQI air quality level, giving you comprehensive information about your exposure to various pollutants.

How can this app help me avoid pollution?

The app helps you find the best clean air commutes and avoid the most polluted places by tracking air pollution variations around you in real time. This information allows you to make informed decisions about your routes and activities.

Do I need to buy a sensor to use this app?

Yes, you must have the Flow personal air pollution sensor from Plume Labs to use this app. The app is a companion to the hardware sensor and relies on its data.

Is this app compatible with my phone?

The provided information does not specify compatibility details such as operating system versions. However, it is available on the App Store, suggesting compatibility with iOS devices.
