About

FlowSpec Sizer is an offline-first pipe-sizing and pressure-drop workbench for plumbing apprentices, irrigation installers, and meticulous DIYers. Stop digging through paper friction-loss charts: assemble a pipe run from lengths and fittings, choose your material, and instantly see pressure loss per 100 ft, flow velocity, and the smallest compliant pipe diameter. Build a run the way you work: add straight segments plus elbows, tees, valves, and unions, each with a selected material and diameter. FlowSpec Sizer calculates total equivalent length and live pressure loss as you edit. Run the Hazen-Williams solver with your flow rate or fixture units, set the C-factor for PEX, copper, PVC, CPVC, or galvanized steel, and get friction loss, velocity, and clear pass/warn flags. Use the sizing assistant to enter target flow and maximum allowable drop; the app returns the smallest compliant size with a short reasoning line. Estimate fixture demand from 40 preloaded fixture types, apply the fixture-unit curve directly to a run, and design a pump by computing total dynamic head from static lift, friction loss, and desired discharge pressure. Need hot-water recirculation? Calculate return-pipe size, required pump flow, and BTU load from pipe length and insulation. The built-in library covers pressure/temperature ratings, working C-factors, and typical uses for common pipe types, including ASTM/PPI data snapshots. Save and duplicate entire runs, add notes, and export a one-page PDF job sheet with a diagram, inputs, and results. A Home Screen widget gives you daily size/velocity/friction benchmarks for quick off-the-job reference. Everything stays on your device — no accounts, no ads, no placeholders. FlowSpec Sizer is built for the field.
