FAQ

What is FlowSpeedReader?

FlowSpeedReader is a speed reading application that employs Rapid Serial Visual Presentation (RSVP) to help users read text faster. It supports importing various file types and offers text-to-speech functionality.

How does FlowSpeedReader improve reading speed?

It uses RSVP to display one word at a time in a fixed position, minimizing eye movements that slow down traditional reading. This method aims to maintain high comprehension even at speeds over 500 WPM.

Can I import my own documents into FlowSpeedReader?

Yes, you can import text by pasting or typing, using the Safari Share Sheet extension, fetching articles from URLs, and importing files like PDF, DOCX, TXT, and more. It also supports scanning physical documents with Camera OCR.

Does FlowSpeedReader have text-to-speech capabilities?

Yes, FlowSpeedReader includes a full text-to-speech engine with multi-language support, automatic language detection, multiple voice options, and synchronized word highlighting during audio playback.

How does the eye tracking feature work in FlowSpeedReader?

For iPhone X and later models, FlowSpeedReader utilizes the TrueDepth camera to detect when you look away and automatically pauses the reading session. You can configure sensitivity, pause delay, and auto-resume settings.

What reading speeds can I achieve with FlowSpeedReader?

You can adjust the reading speed from 100 to over 1000 words per minute (WPM). The app also allows you to choose to display 1, 2, or 3 words at a time.

Does FlowSpeedReader have ads?

Yes, FlowSpeedReader contains advertisements.

What devices is FlowSpeedReader available on?

FlowSpeedReader is available for iPhone and iPad devices.
