This product has been such a joy to have in the house!!! We used to have cheap buttons from Amazon and we recently upgraded to FluentPet about 3 months ago. Worth it. I love the app. It’s great getting the notifications on my phone when they press a button because I often can’t hear what they say from across the house. The setup was so easy. Recording new buttons, so easy. Idk why this isn’t rated higher. I’ve never had an issue. :)

Fluent Pet Wins after many failures
Fluent pet has been an amazing experience for my animals. We have tried buttons many times, but I made all.of.the.mistakes. After 5 years of failures, with FP's free boot camp and FP101 course, My dogs were pressing within 15 minutes. They are now 3.5 weeks in and have 10 words, and about to add 2-3 more! They are already starting 2 word combinations to communicate concepts they don't have buttons for.
Mostly, my dogs ate MUCH happier. They seem to have more confidence that we will work together to figure out whAt they want and need. Before, they beg ask and we would guess, but when we got it wrong, they walked off in a huff. Now, even when we don't know, they seem more confident that we will get it.
I cant recommend these buttons enough.

Lost connection
My connect keeps loosing connection with my app on my phone. So frustrating
Disconnected
The idea for this product is so cool, but I’m really frustrated to see that I get an error when I look at the app now and my “household” is not found. All the buttons are gone. I am not looking forward to setting these up again… I don’t want to have to do this over and over and I hope this is the only time this happens.

The chat style update somehow made it worse
Previously the app would intermittently drop connections when adding buttons, but since the update, I can't add a button. It does all of the sounds but the app never shows the new button. Yes, even after waiting a few minutes. Button presses now get synced "later" in the "background" frequently hours or days later. I'm so disappointed I bought these to replace my OG classics. Feels like such a waste of money for how frustrating it is to add a word and get it to sync. If I could return them for SpeakUp I would.

Great concept, poor execution
I like the new chat style UI, but they haven’t fixed one of the core issue- the app often disconnects from the base, sometimes within a day of reconnecting. Very annoying
Poor software
It is very poorly designed software. I was unable to reconnect the Connect buttons to the base, change voice prompt and correct mistakes. Yes I read and followed the instructions exactly. I could get the button to connect to the base but the Next button would not let me move to the record screen after I set it up the first time. I tried to disconnect and the. It changed the buttons to classic and would not let me delete from classic and add to connect. This is basic stuff. Seems to be only 1 use case that it considers. Please fix this.

Freezes up
The app only works half of the time when trying to connect the buttons to the base. After many tries it does connect, however the app won’t go past “naming” a button. The button does show up in the app, but I cannot change the name. Instructions say to close and reopen the app, that did nothing, but frustrate me. I bought the Fluent Pet Connect to make life easier, it ain’t happening yet!!

Quiet
With their last update, the system is rendered. It’s way too quiet to be heard unless the room it’s being used in is fully silent. No TV or music on in the background. I miss the old version before the awful update!
The buttons won’t connect
The base took a little convincing to connect, I was able to connect one button and the other seven that I purchased are basically useless because they cannot be connected. It seems like the app is not catching the connection of the button despite the connection sound ringing. Super disappointed

Obvious functions missing
If you follow the set up instructions that come with your base and buttons, it will take an unnecessary amount of time to actually load all the information in. My recommendation is to associate all of the buttons to the base station at the same time, then assign the words to each button without updating the base station until you are completed assignment. There is no ability to bulk assigned button presses to users so if you have more than one pet and a lot of activity, you’re going to completely skip the assign feature because it’s a waste of your time. There is no way to activate the connect base station from your phone app, which seems like a total mess to me. However, once you get past all of that, everything works reasonably well and is highly entertaining.

Working perfectly for us so far
The set up took a bit of patience but the instructions were good enough to get through it. You have to charge the base and pair it to the app before you do anything else. Once you have that worked out, the rest is pretty easy. Being able to pause notifications is helpful during training sessions. I really like that it has battery indicators for the buttons and that you can edit the button names. I think this is going to be a lot of fun.

Love it!
Getting texts from my pets has been a game changer. There were some glitches early on, but the customer service has been phenomenal is getting us up to date. I appreciate all of the new app updates as well - it just keeps getting better!
Not working
This product is expensive, especially the new connection buttons. We have spent a lot on both the old and new buttons. We really wanted this app to work so that when we are on a different floor, we can hear the dogs. However, this app has been malfunctioning from day one, and now we can’t even log into it. It keeps trying to sync with the website, but we get errors. It started by not loading and gradually led to not working at all. You need to look into this, please.

App Freezes
The app freezes every time I try to assign a button hit/sequence. I have to quit the app and reopen to assign every hit/sequence. It is arduous. Button connecting and setup is also slow. It took me 60+ minutes to connect 18 buttons. The app and hardware needs a lot of work.
Keeps locking up
App keeps locking up, I have to keep quitting the app and restart it. Looks like there was an update yesterday and now this keeps happening. Please fix this issue, I paid a substantial amount of money for this connect system.
App won’t allow log in
I have a log in and password but it refuses to recognize it and keeps saying wrong password. I even changed it. I can’t even get started. I had feeling this was going to be sketchy app - spent $500 for nothing should’ve stuck w the oils school version
Can’t Log In
The app logged me out and now has an error when i try to log in. I can log in on their website so I know it’s not my username and password (and i have tried resetting it). I reinstalled the app and now I don’t even get the button press notifications. Very frustrating for an expensive product advertised for smart phone integration. After a few days you would think they would resolve such an issue.

Think twice before buying Connect
Connect can’t be used without this clumsy and restrictive app.
It lags when recording sounds so I need 5 takes for the word to record clearly.
It lags when typing.
It’s not efficient to edit multiple activities… so deleting 30 events means about 90-120 screen taps.
Most of this app is just hyperlinks to their website, which is not helpful, and the website doesn’t display great on mobile devices.
There’s no way use a browser on a computer to check / edit any of your Connect data using mouse and keyboard, so Connect is thumbs-only only and drains my phone battery.
Connect can’t be initially set up or used without this app.
Connect can’t record sounds without this app.
I hope Connect is in the early stages because this entire system, hardware and software, still needs a LOT of work. Thankfully mine barely got dirty.
