About
FluidBoy Tools is a specialist utility for laboratory and robotics technicians who maintain Hamilton NGC pipette channels. It flashes channel firmware from an iPhone through the NGC-Bridge, a small ESP32-based dongle that plugs into the channel over USB and talks to the phone over Bluetooth LE.
REQUIRES DEDICATED HARDWARE
This is not a general-purpose app. It only does something useful when paired with an NGC-Bridge dongle connected to a Hamilton NGC pipette channel. Without that hardware it will scan for a bridge and show clear empty states.
FLASH FIRMWARE
• Flash a runtime image: pick a Channel2Runtime .hex file and flash it to the channel with live progress.
• Update the bootloader: pick a folder containing the Hybrid, BootLoader, and Runtime images and the app runs the full three-stage sequence in the correct order.
• The firmware version is auto-detected from the image.
ON-BRIDGE FIRMWARE STORE
Save firmware images to the bridge's own storage, then flash a saved version later without re-uploading — handy in the field where the original files may not be on hand.
CHANNEL BROWSER
Browse the channel's live object model — subsystems, versions, and methods — loaded directly from the connected channel.
LOGS
Grab on-channel logs (such as axis logs), graph them on the phone, and export the data.
LIVE TRACE
Pick channel signals and stream them in real time with charts (requires a trace-enabled channel runtime).
PERSONALIZE
A built-in theme tuner lets you adjust accent colors, glass, spacing, and the animated background.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, and no network access. The app communicates only over Bluetooth LE with your own NGC-Bridge; firmware files and captured data stay on your device and on the bridge.
FluidBoy Tools is an independent utility and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Hamilton Company. Use appropriate care when updating firmware on laboratory equipment.
