About
Explore sourced killer whale sightings, individual whale profiles, and historical context across the Pacific Northwest.
LIVE SIGHTINGS
Browse a fresh, attributed community and provider feed. Explicit sighting submission sends its contact email, selected location and content, and attached photo to Fluke for moderation. Queued drafts stay on device until Submit is tapped. Optional account use separately sends Name, account email, and User ID. Sign in with Apple sends an identity token and one-use authorization code for authentication.
LIVE CAMERA FRAMING
Open the live camera to frame an orca dorsal fin with a private on-device preview. Camera frames stay on device; nothing is captured or uploaded from the preview, and the camera opens only after an explicit tap. Live matching of orca individuals is not active in this release: Fluke ships its dorsal-fin matching engine dormant until a rights-cleared reference catalog is certified, and identification claims will appear only when that is real.
WHALES AND ATLAS
Search the catalog, read evidence-backed profiles, and explore historical ranges and movement context. Confidence and source attribution stay visible.
Fluke has no advertising, analytics, or tracking. It is an independent reference project, not an emergency alert service. Never approach or pursue wildlife; follow current official viewing regulations.
