Automations Don’t Record in Logic Pro for IPad
App Support Page Not Found. I wanted to write to you first before writing on here. However, when clicking through I am greeted by an ‘Ooops, page not found’. Warble touch automations are not always played ( intermittently) and do not render at all in mixdown, in my experience.
Outdated - Don’t buy
Purchased this hoping to use it in GarageBand. Instructions when opening the app say to visit the manual. When clicking the link it brings you to a page that “No longer exists” - Looking for refund

It’s bad, it’s really really bad
It’s a preset surfer with a poor choice of presets. No part of the app is usable. This is not a critique. It’s meant as a warning for possible buyers. Even free you shouldn’t download it. The audio quality is bad. The saturation adds a bunch of volume so you can’t just turn it on and off while playing. Also the presets are all too aggressive and oftentimes don’t add any feeling of tape to your audio.

Good but can be better
I really love this app a lot… i just wish that it will be a standalone where you can upload your tracks directly into it. It would be a plus if the developers could add even more effects than what it have. For people that like that SP-404 type of fx this would be good but not enough to satisfy your needs. I would like to emphasize that having 16 fx's would be a great addition for a Fly Tape 3 version!

Good app but one suggestion
Instead of having to have a host app why can’t you just use straight from koala sampler so that you won’t have to do a bunch of things to get it working as a plugin
really good but I am having a small issue
it’s a really good plug-in and I’m enjoying it a lot, but I don’t know how to record the effect onto one of my tracks, it never really stays. and whenever I share my GarageBand song as a file none of the effects are there, and they turn off immediately after closing the song. Is there a way I can permanently get the effects onto a track?

Great app, but…
Hold and OPs we have selected are not included in save state??? When I stop the DAW or AUM the FlyTape doesn‘t stop? It should and jump back in accurately on point, IMHO…
Another one I have found, is happening with the buffer being not reset correctly. For Instance: When I‘m in Stutter Hold mode and go to 1/64th and wanna go lower to 1/8th again it doesn‘t do it.
I need to „reset“ the buffer manually, which is sad.
Those three „flaws“ removed and I’ll give a straight 5 Star review, talking all the plusses of the app :-)

Fun but only useful in AUM or performing live.
This app is great to use “on the fly” but for studio production it’s basically worthless within a DAW, you can’t automate anything and the “on the fly” effects don’t get recorded.

This is 8 effects which at least 6 of them you already have, probably got for free, and sound better in those other apps. Most disappointing is the extreme lack of control of each effect. You’re met with something between one to eight presets essentially- no parameters other than noise amount and mix - which is not independent per effect. Even the tape warble is done better in free apps.
Saying the warble is the best effect is disappointing because it’s pretty light and limited. 7 warp/wobble options and they don’t go deep like a real damaged tape.
Lofi sounds rather ‘hi pass’.
Reverse… ya it reverses
The rest aren’t even worth saying anything.
Why 3 stars? I don’t know. I’m generous. 1 because it works. 2 because it looks nice. 3 because…. Beats me

They don’t seem to advertise this in any of the videos, but this is for live apparently. It won’t actually let you modify or record the sounds in GarageBand

Can the plugin read automation after they create it? I used it with GarageBand iOS and want to put halftime on a specific part and idk how to do it!
Absolutely incredible
This thing is a powerhouse. If you are looking for mobile 404-style FX look no further. Dropped a star because in my opinion this should have just been an update to the first Flytape, all these features should have been available from the get go. But that’s just my 2 cents and none of that takes away from how fantastic this app actually is, definitely will recommend to others

Such an incredible app!
Having so much fun using this on iOS. The effects are second to none and adds so much to your music. If you make beats on this platform, you gotta have this app! As usual, MSXII brings the best!
Better than the original
It’s good for applying tape degradation. Has more options than the original. It’s worth it if you like the original Fly Tape.
This is a good plug-in if you like the MSXII sample pack sound quality and want to reproduce that yourself quickly.
