The best app for fly anglers

FlyFishFinder is for the fly fishing community what OnX is to hunters, and a whole lot more. It’s the best way to pull all the data you need to plan your trips and find new water: property maps, access points, gauge data, local shops to help you out if you forget your rod, and more. If you’ve been using anything else to help you find water, you’ll be blown away with how much more this brings you. On top of all that, I’m looking forward to the community feature thats coming soon. That’s something that will really help when exploring a new area or just looking for fishing partners. Especially when traveling or vacation angling!

Great app

Not only can you find new water systems I found out about a mile plus long stretch of this creek I’ve fished for years and never knew about. Has good map quality when you buy the pro version definitely worth 30$ for a year of finding new spots.

Great tool for discovering new water and public access. You can filter by species which is not available on other apps that I’ve used.

Huge Help on the Water

Even with water I’m relatively familiar with this app been has a huge resource for me! When it comes to find new access spots, public land boundaries, and getting live up-to-date flow charts and weather forecasts, this app does it all. This information consolidated into one database has been beyond helpful when it comes to planning new trips and landing more fish.

Great for finding new water

I've fished locally for years and I can't believe the amount of water offerings I had no idea of within 2 hours that have access and or species I wasn't aware of. I've already started planning out my weekends.

Game changing app for all species and fisherman

Fly Fish Finder is an amazing new app that is a necessity for all anglers whether you fish twice a year or guide every day for anything from trout to musky. The ability to find new places to fish is now easier than ever with Fly Fish Finder as it not only shows rivers and lakes to fish, but shows access points and species, as well as a lot of other helpful information to scout out new water. You can also make a profile and will soon be able to connect with other anglers and guides to meet more people and advance your knowledge of fishing and the waters you fish or want to fish. There is also much more to come that will make Fly Fish Finder even better! I can’t recommend Fly Fish Finder enough and every angler should have and use it no matter what kind of angler you are!

This is such a great app for fishing. I use it to find new spots for fishing locally but also love it when I travel. Great info and recommendations on an easy to use platform!

Helps me find new waters

Map layers for Easement and Access Points have help me discover new areas I would have previously dismissed as inaccessible. Traveling to new areas or new states, the Pro version is helpful because it shows stream regulations so I can quickly assess what might be viable for my trip. This won’t make a better fly fisher, but it will definitely get me to new and interesting places and increase my enjoyment of the hobby!

The app is a great way to combine data from various resources and streamline (no pun intended) my research of a new area. I use the app a lot when traveling with work or family to find what species might be in the area, what stream or river fishing options exist, stream gage data, and where a local shop might be able to provide assistance. Then I can quickly decide if the rod and fly box will be packed or left at home. And it makes it super easy to navigate to points of interest I find on the map. I like that I can create and organize my own private pins / waypoints.

It makes it easy to make notes in planning or record notes about what conditions and hatches were on a trip.

Additionally, the designer/ dev team have been super responsive. They’re working on some new features which will continue to elevate the experience and have a great web based tool as well.

Got the pro version of this app and it’s been incredible!! We have found so many amazing new places to snag trout that we didn’t know about! Excited about the community and chat functions coming out to connect with more local anglers!

Thank you for your feedback. We are working with local shops and other state programs to utilize our platform to share the importance of catch and release fishing, proper handling and resource conservation as we grow and develop the app. We will be able to utilize aspects of the app such as the in-built community to continue to spread important messaging about protecting the fisheries, proper handling techniques like keeping fish wet and much more. Had the app not been created by avid anglers, I would be far more concerned about it but we have spent over 5 years carefully building this up the right way. We will continue to partner and do our part to raise awareness of these amazing wild fish, and wild places we all love.

Another app that takes hot spotting small, wild trout streams to another level. Created by a bunch of anglers who should know better but would rather make a few thousand bucks at the expense of natural resources

Great tool for every angler!

I’m super happy with the app and the detailed information it provides. It’s even been helpful on my local waters that I have been fishing for decades.

I haven’t had the chance to use it outside of my state but have no doubt it will help me find new waters to explore.

Game Changer in The Fly Fishing Community!

This app is working amazingly! It’s such a cool tool and I’ve messed with it a bit after the team found out an issue I was having with the software and quickly found the solution. In the past I used trout routes and bought the premium subscription for it last year, but this is definitely a much better app and is way less confusing to use (especially with the premium subscription!) as I’ve found trout routes to be buggy sometimes. The FlyFishFinder team has made an amazing app and I’ll forever be using it for my future trips. Y’all are awesome! What else could a seasoned fly fisher ask for?

Slick User Interface

Fly Fish Finder is an app that every fisherman or even outdoor person should download. I love the various options that are available for use and I can’t wait until they come out with their community services. I am also a long time user of OnX Hunt and I honestly think Fly Fish Finder has a better user interface and is easier to use altogether. I can’t wait to see how they continue to develop this app!

Wow! These guys are on to something. This is so much more than just a river locator! What an awesome app and a refreshing alternative to all the others not meeting the needs of an angler outside of recommendations on where to go.
