Great app for a great local paper

Well designed with options for an easy reading experience

Easy to use

The FNP app is easy to use and navigate. I enjoy seeing the pages laid out in print format and then being able to zoom in to read whichever articles are of interest.

Love this app!

Great way to read the paper! For those of us who get a digital subscription it’s so much better than reading the paper online. No need for stack of papers to pile up and I get to see the same edition as those with a regular subscription!

Almost like the physical newspaper

App works well, but sometimes I can’t get the page to stabilize where I want to read it. Seems to scroll 2 pages at a time, making it funky to grab one to read then continue. Can’t quite figure out how to get magnification to work, particularly to stabilize, too. But I’m mostly reading things the day-of, rather than a day later, and often in the morning versus the evening when we had to settle for mail delivery. I’ve come into the 20th century, I guess, maybe there’s hope for the. 21st.

Almost What I Want

The app is the only FNP option available to me because home delivery no longer is offered in my area. I get the news, but the presentation of images is subpar. For example, graphs and maps as presented are too small to read. When enlarged they are pixelated and out of focus. Please improve that feature.

Hometown Proud

FNP provides me with the perfect combination of international, national, and most importantly local news. I rely on the FNP for updates on local public and political news. My favorite section is the 72 Hours insert on Thursdays. Then I can plan my weekend cultural and community activities. An integral part of our family life every day!

Love the online access to FNP

Easy, convenient, able to find stuff from previous editions with very little effort. And can fill out sudoku on my iPad with my finger. Big fan.

Poor Design?

On my 2nd Gen 11-in iPad Pro I frequently experience a blanking of the screen while reading an article in its entirety in the lower half of the screen AND then being unable to recover the article without closing the FNP app and then reopening the FNP app.

Easy to use

Easy to read and use on iPad or iPhone..wherever you are

Daily reading

Each morning I wake, make my tea and spend my quiet time with the Frederick Newspaper. It is so enjoyable for me to catch up on the daily news around the county. I am a transplant fromNY and so enjoy my daily routine. Really miss the Sunday paper but I understand the expense involved. I have called the paper several times and have always been met with lovely people(mostly women) who helped me. Joanie Poddo

Frederick Newspaper

Love the online edition of the paper. I am an early riser and I
Like that it is there when I get up.

Good job.

Great local newspaper

The FNP is one of the last comprehensive local newspapers. The ap allows me to read it anywhere.

Newspaper format makes for easy reading

As an old timer, I like reading the newspaper just like I had paper in my hands. Well organized headlines on page 1, and I can see the ads as intended. The app does a good job at this, much better than the web site.

Reading the paper online

I enjoy using this app to keep up with the news

Easy access to the news!

The FNP app is easy to use and keeps me informed.

We appreciate getting it

FNP sends a digital replica of the daily paper as printed. Just what we want. Thanks.

E paper

Love being able to access the paper when I’m out of town. Well organized site - easy to use

FNP needs to return to Home delivery soon

I began my FNP home delivery around July 1979.

I have enjoyed home delivery in the Ijamsville area for over 40 years.

My established morning ritual is to read & enjoy my hard copy FNP w/ a cup of coffee long before any other household members are stirring about before 6 am.

This nations newspapers have provided a public service to school age girls & boys like myself back in the 1950s.

I became a Daily newspaper carrier in 5th grade walking a total of six miles/day w/a seven day route.

Besides being a Young businessman it enabled me to pay every penny of my college education.

What opportunities are there today for young girls & boys as young as 12 years old to get a good part time job?

I earned approximately $100./month when minimum wage was $1.00/hour.

Corrected to today’s minimum wage I earned approximately $1,500.00/month in today’s 2023 money

Receiving a US Mail FNP is like receiving day old bread.

It is not just as fresh and someythe FNP piles up unread.

I have decided that I shall not renew my other newspapers, the Washington Post. I do not read on Doug of ten copies since November renewal.

I am of that generation that enjoys a hard copy of anything over reading from a computer screen or smart phone.

I am not sure if I shall renew my FNP unless home delivery returns.

Many of my senior friends no longer subscribe to anything relying upon other news sources.
