I have had this exam prep app for a while and I have noticed quite a few changes to the question bank:
1.) Ability to review Q&A after practice questions w/o starting the category over.
2.) Limited Visual Learning Access
3.) Now days Exam Prep Apps want to charge test takers a monthly subscription fee—Who Can Afford That

Passed My AANP FNP Exam Thanks to This App!
FNP Cert was one of the most valuable tools I used while preparing for my AANP FNP certification exam and I passed! The app’s comprehensive question bank, detailed rationales, and user-friendly interface made studying efficient and effective. I especially appreciated the ability to study on the go, track my progress, and focus on my weaker areas.
The practice questions closely resembled what I saw on the actual exam, and the explanations helped reinforce my understanding. I highly recommend this app to anyone preparing for the AANP or ANCC FNP exam. Oh I passed on 6/28/25 🙌🏾👩🏾⚕️

outdated app, skip to 4th edition
App continues to use old questions, including based on pregnancy medication categories (A,B,C,X) that was abandoned in 2015. Not sure why the app is still available for purchase, but save your $69.99 and skip to the current edition. Good luck on your exam!
Rationale
I have another app that is very detailed with their rationales. This app is not. That’s why I gave it less stars
Excellent tool
This tool helped me pass my exam for FNP and I highly recommend it to my students along with the companion book. This comes free with it! Very intuitive to use!
Not newest version
I would suggest that this app be taken out of the App Store as there is a newer version. I suggest if anyone is considering this app to search for the newer app as the information in this app is not current with the in rotation exams.

Great tool for reviewing and practicing for your NP exam! I love the layout and review questions. Great rationale’s. Used this with Hollier’s review (my university used Hollier’s review as part of the curriculum) and felt more than prepared! You won’t regret this purchase!
You will pass with this app!
I just passed the AANP today and Leik’s practice questions were manageable and also educational at the same time. I read through all of the info in each section twice. Some of the practice questions were word for word on the exam. I did Fitzgerald’s review and it was too in-depth and had too many pneumonics. I tried the FNP Mastery app and the questions were WAY to specific and just caused me to lose confidence. Go through all of Leik’s practice questions and read each section in either her book or the app (they both have the same information) and you will pass.

Best Best Best source to study for FNP
I used this app at least 5 times and the did the book twice , read every section especially hints and pearls and tracked my progress according to my weaknesses. I love this app. Easy to read rationales that make you think but not make you feel dumb or doubt the material. Just makes since !!!
I loved you can set your daily goal questions according to when you are testing. I love that I can read on a particular category and then test my knowledges in questions. I agree with others that have said this.. Leik is the FNP study Bible. Thanks Dr Leik!!

This is day two using this app and I’m in love! I’m logging in to this app more than social media! It’s so easy to use and really tests my knowledge on topics I’ve covered and has great rationales to learn where I can improve or review some more.
ONE practice question in the free version
You get one practice question. And after that you must pay $30 a month for access. No thank you! My boards are still at least 8 months away and I refuse to pay $30 a month when I can buy the book on amazon for way cheaper than that!

I love having this in my pocket while studying for my boards. It’s quick and easy and allows me to see my strengths and weaknesses.
Keeps crashing and/or questions or explanation aren’t shown
The app keeps crashing after purchasing it and either the question doesn’t show or the explanation doesn’t show, which is beyond frustrating. How can I study when I’m having this problem 😞
